Duke got away with a ton of over the backs and moving screens. It was really a joke. Zoubek had 5 or 6 of them himself.

Cry me a friggin river. How many free throws did you shoot in the 2nd half before we even attempted one? Good lord you were in the bonus 8 mins into the 2nd half. We took you to the woodshed, and it all stemmed from the comments your players had this week and two years ago. That has been the best we played all year, and it just so happened to come together against your team in a big game in the biggest of stages.

Touch fouls. Moving screens. Over the backs. But yeah it was all because of the comments our players made. We didn't switch well because of the comments our players made.

How about your team had a shooting game they will never replicate again. And just leave it at that.

See it? I was in attendance. This was a typical game WV was used to being in to me. We had a fire in our eyes I haven't seen since the UNC game in Cameron, and yes that had a lot to do with how well we outworked you on both ends of the floor. We beat you on the boards like I told you we would, and all you have to come back with is whining about the refs and the NCAA should be ashamed. Give me a break.

Again, I was pulling for WVU and I didn't see that at all. WVU played a poor game defensively and Duke did what they wanted to. WVU didn't put a body on anyone...you aren't going to get over the back called if you aren't boxing out. I was sick watching Duke get second chance after second chance, but I only saw once or twice where I thought they missed an over the back. I thought it was fairly called.

Also, Duke shot so well because they were open most of the time...WVU just couldn't handle them.

Just to throw it out there but for those somehow bringing FT disparity into this, you do know that Duke only took 9 total FT's all night right? Duke goes 7/9 from the FT line while West Virginia goes 14/19 and yet somehow were talking about FT discrepency? Furthermor Duke was called for 16 fouls to West Virginia's 12 fouls.

Duke beat us fair and square, they would have beaten us without the refs cause we couldn't stop them all night. But lets not act like Duke would shoot like this every game and that they didn't get a ****load of calls going their way. They are pretty evenly matched teams and Duke just had the better game.

Anyway the officiating was irrelevant tonight. We did crush them on the boards and we shot the lights out. We played as good as we can. We deserved this win. Also, I've never understood the FT complaining. 25 a game? Come on dude.

I'll give him that, but man blaming the refs was just weak. Especially when we fouled more, and they shot more free throws. Difference was they hadn't played a D like we play all year and it bothered them. Not to mention us beating them up on the boards.

That's the best we shot since either the Gardner-Webb game or even the UNC game in Cameron. I hope we saved some of that for Monday night.

Our D was great tonight. Like I said the FT argument always annoys me. Do we get fouled on jumpers all the time? No.

I've watched a lot of their games though and knew they were capable of completely shutting us down tonight.

Duke was just better tonight and is a better team. WVU was awful defensively and rebounded poorly. That's all there was to it. It's disappointing, but it was the best season in 51 years, so I'll take it. I just hate to see it end with a 21-point loss and Butler getting potentially seriously injured.

EDIT: It is being reported that it is probably just a sprained knee. Thank God.
