Andre Drummond to UCONN....for THIS season:

Can't say I am surprised he is going to UCONN but a bit surprised he has decided to go this year.

Is the "Repeat" for repeating a championship or repeating the news that is directly above your post?

Crazy, crazy, crazy. Highest recruit we've ever signed.

Ha, Jerome Dyson or Doug Wrenn has THAT honor for our program.

                What's the plan?

It's not clear where his scholarship will come from. Connecticut has none available after losing three due to NCAA rules violations and a poor academic performance rating.

The 3 possibilities I've heard are
                  1. He walks on, pays his own way. Not completely crazy since it's in-state tuition and only one year.
                  2. One of our German players, probably Giffey is staying in Germany this year.
                  3. Tyler Olander gives up his scholarship for a year and pays his own way, he's also in state.

It's looking like Rodney Purvis may be NCSU bound soon. It's looking to be between us and Mizzou, and the issues surrounding Frank Haith are making NCSU look much better.

This would be a huge get for Coach Gottfried in his first year.

Might want to put this in the 2012 recruiting thread.

Michael Bradley is the one that gave up the scholarship for Drummond. ESPN has an article about it too..

Andre Drummond has enrolled at Connecticut, and for the Huskies to add one of the top recruits in the nation onto their roster, someone needed to make a sacrifice with the team already in a scholarship crunch.

Didn't see the 2012 recruiting thread but Kyle Anderson just committed to UCLA.

He chose the Bruins over Seton Hall, St. John's, Georgetown & Florida.

I expect Shabazz Muhammad to follow suit.

                            Woot!

Could be the biggest class for UCLA in decades

need to make up for the disaster that was the 2008 class

Iowa making noise for a change. Espn ranking 2011 class #11 in the country currently.

                              4* Gessell PG/SG
                              3* Graham slasher SF
3* Kyle Meyer Athletic PF/Good Shooter
