How would some of you guys feel if your team gave a ride to a stranded future opponent? I thought that was great of the Albany staff to do. I would be 100% in on helping a kid out regardless of whether or not he might score 20 points two nights later to help his team beat mine.

Albany hoops team gives ride to stranded Xavier player
I thought this was a cool story to share. Albany plays here against Xavier on Tuesday night and made the bus trip down starting last night. Mark Lyons, one of X's top scorers, was stranded in Schenectady because of the weather and the folks at X asked the Albany staff if Lyons could hitch a ride with them. Tu Holloway was supposed to go too but he couldn't get out of the NYC area.

If it was a rival, then they (school) would have to pay a lot for the ride and he may have to sit in the bathroom.
If it is just a normal opponent, it wouldn't be a problem as long as there were no NCAA violations or the kid just wanted a free ride.Comment

As a follow-up, Lyons drained 6 from behind the arc last night to lead X in scoring with 18 as they won 88-64. I guess they should have left him in NY.MLB: Cincinnati Reds
