I would imagine that a truTV is just the channel the game is on, not necessarily the people doing all the production work

Hopefully DTV will be able to get a deal done for TruTV HD or at least get the games in HD. TruTV is probably asking for a big increase now and most likely no one is watching the channel outside of these 4 days.

CBS is still doing all the broadcast and producing, you are just watching it on different channels. Same thing that ESPN does on ABC now.

slightly off topic, will the games still be streamed for free on CBS's website?

Exactly, I imagine it works the same way as the Olympics, which are broadcast on a variety of channels but all have the same NBC-themed music, graphics, production, etc.

              I actually get TruTV HD.

Dish Network finally has something DirecTV doesn't!

              This feels odd.

I'd trade TruHD for MLB Network, though.

YESSSS!!! Excellent news for DirecTV subscribers.

DirecTV will carry truTV in HD for the during of the NCAA Tournament!

I'm hoping they at least use CBS' wide field of play-by-play candidates. Could you imagine somebody like Bill Curtis doing play-by-play for the game? lol...

Atleast for me, the night games aren't nearly as staggered so we could still have some overlap.

Somehow, CBS has gone another year without cloning Gus Johnson so he can call every game.

                        Disappointed.

The staggered starts are a good thing. The 68 team field is not.

Here's to hoping we make such medical advances in time for next year's tourney.

I actually like it. I never watched the play-in game, but I'll likely watch all 4 play-in games this year.

And keep in mind the CBS producers were pretty terrible at switching from game to game.
