Pretty mediocre to poor first round for me, only went 22-10 overall. This has been my worst first round, at least in terms of the number of wrong picks. Not a coincidence that I spent a lot less time filling out this bracket, than past brackets. Only good news is I have 14 out 16 Sweet 16 teams left and all my Final Four teams left.

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I too went 22-10 on the opening round. I do have 14/16 of my sweet 16 and all my Final Four picks so there is still room to get back into this. According to ESPN I have a ceiling of 1560 which compared to a lot of guys who are actually in the top end of the standings, it only leaves me 20-40 points off their ceiling so I should still be right in this. If Washington can knock off North Carolina then I might really be in a good spot so thats my biggest game of the weekend as of right now.Last edited by The Chef; 03-19-2011, 12:00 AM.Comment

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I'm 21-11 through the first round, took a lot of chances and got burned a good amount, plus my tossup games went against me.
15 of 16 Sweet 16 teams left (lost Belmont), Elite 8 is still in tact.Last edited by IlliniM1ke; 03-19-2011, 12:07 AM.Favorite Teams:

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
25-7 in the 1st round.......
I have 14 of sweet 16 teams left, all my elite 8 and obviously all my final 4 teams. I would have went 16-0 today, but GTown had to screw that up. The worst part is, I initially had GTown losing, but changed it with Chris coming back!Twitch - bluengold34_osComment

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I'm 22-10 with 14 of 16 Sweet 16 teams left with Elite 8 and Final Four perfect. Nearly all the games that were toss ups I lost. My Southeast bracket isn't looking to great with all that red, but otherwise I'm solid. Definitely not as good as last year when I went 29-3 in the first round.Comment

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I went 13-3 yesterday, and 11-5 on Thursday. I still have 14 of my Sweet Sixteen (Louisville and Utah State), and all of my Elite Eight and Final Four. I got all of the west right, and all of the east except for George Mason. I sucked in the Southeast, with 4 wrong picks.
But I'm in 128th place in the OS Contest, so if I correctly picked Cincinnati in the Elite Eight and Kentucky in the Final Four, I still have a shot at winning.Follow me on Twitter: @ADice15Comment

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I have 3 different brackets (although they're all pretty similar)
Bracket A: Lost 4 Sweet 16 teams and 1 Elite 8
Bracket B: Lost 2 Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final 4 intact (actually has a lower score than Bracket A right now though lol)
Bracket C: Lost 3 Sweet 16 and 1 Elite 8
Bracket A is 21-11.
Bracket B is 20-12.
Bracket C is 23-9.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
Position 10 in Operation Sports Tournament.
30 of 35, 15 of 16 in Sweet Sixteen, 8 of 8 in Elite Eight and 4 of 4 on Final Four.
I made a risky pick in BYU to the Final Four, but i believe in Jimmer Fredette.
I dont care about Richmond vs Morehead State because i got Louisville in Sweet Sixteen, but if my Owls kill SDSU like my heart want, Im going to miss my second Sweet Sixteen team, anyway SDSU or my Owls have a hard one against UConn, and i got UConn on the Final against Kansas.
Anyone here picked UCLA to the Elite Eight at least??River Plate - San Antonio Spurs - Sergio Martinez - New Orleans Saints - Temple Owls - Dale Earnhardt Jr. FanComment

Re: How are everyone's brackets holding up?!
I went 22-10 in the first round. I am 2-0 thus far in the second round.
14 of my Sweet Sixteen teams (Louisville, St. John's) are left and seven of my eight Elite Eight teams (St. John's).
My bracket is average, at the moment, but the real key is getting the later rounds right in these things and all my Final Four teams are still looking good.Comment

Now that Pitt's gone my bracket is officially bird cage liner.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!
