The Capital Classic (WVU vs. Marshall) is always played in Charleston at the Charleston Civic Center. However, evidently they are playing Morehead State this year, as well. I think it's a good idea as there are tons of WVU fans living around Charleston (the most populous area of the state). I would have definitely went if I still lived near Charleston.

I'm an alum of both Marshall and Xavier. I'm extremely excited about XU's schedule this year. As a hoops fan I'm already drooling. Both of my schools look to be very god this year, though Xavier obviously is set to be better.

            Dec 22 @Stanford
            Feb 17-19 ESPN Bracket Buster

It's a pretty tough OOC schedule with Purdue, Stanford, Gonzaga, Louisville, and Xavier. They will probably get one of the best teams in the bracket buster as well so that won't be easy. Butler has to have a tough OOC schedule though because there are usually only a few decent teams in the Horizon League (and by decent I mean top 100, not necessarily even tournament teams. Detroit could be an at large team this year though if they can keep from getting arrested).

Again, no surprise with a deathly OOC schedule, but this year I wouldn't be surprised of an "upset" here or there. If you don't know the name Casper Ware, he is electric to say the least.

                  ST. JOHN’S

Toughest: 2K Sports Classic (Nov. 17-18), at Kentucky (Dec. 1), at Duke (Jan. 28), UCLA (Feb. 18)
                  Next-toughest: at Detroit (Dec. 5)
The rest: William & Mary (Nov. 7), Lehigh (Nov. 9), UMBC (Nov. 13), St. Francis-N.Y. (Nov. 22), Northeastern (Nov. 26), Fordham (Dec. 17), Texas-Pan American (Dec. 21)
Toughness scale (1-10): 10 -- Give coach Steve Lavin credit. This is the toughest schedule in the Big East and one of the hardest in the country. The Red Storm play true road games against top-10 teams Kentucky and Duke and also get two of the favorites in the Pac-12 at Madison Square Garden. The Johnnies will face off with Arizona in the first game of the 2K Sports Classic and either Texas A&M or Mississippi State awaits the next day. Going to Detroit, one of the favorites in the Horizon League, is similar to last season’s trip to Saint Mary’s -- a dangerous road game that could be a plus for strength of schedule. Oh, and the Red Storm are basically made up entirely of freshmen, making this schedule even tougher.

For the rest of the week, ESPN.com will be breaking down the nonconference schedules of each and every team in a dozen leagues. On Tuesday, we began with the ACC, SEC and C-USA.

                    UNT

                    Significant OOC games are:

                    @ Texas Tech
                    @ Mississippi State
                    @ Texas
                    vs. LSU

Tony Mitchell isn't eligible until the LSU games so those first three are likely all losses, especially considering some of the new guys are being deemed ineligible.

If everyone on the roster was eligibile UNT would be absolutely loaded for a mid-major this season.

Not to intrude on the post or anthing, but WVU normally plays 2 games in Charleston.........1 always being Marshall and then the other normally against a smaller school. I attended the game against VMI last year in Charleston.

The Oklahoma game was also held there in the 2007-2008 season, but I believe that was just a one-time thing as WVU played Oklahoma in Oklahoma City the previous year, I believe, so it was a "home-and-home" of sorts.

Yeah I believe you're right. I remember them playing Saint Louis there a few years back too. If Huggins manages to get this year's squad to the big dance, he'll deserve coach of the year. They are very young and inexperienced, which was very evident in their performance against Northern Kentucky Friday night.

Texas Tech's two exhibition games showed two opposite squads. They barely get by Southwest Oklahoma 76-70, then drop Our Lady of the Lake by 40. Safe to say I won't be going to any games this year. Well, maybe the Kansas and Oklahoma State games.
