Re: Who should I root for?
How can you just decide to root for some a team? It is something that should happen organically, you cant force something. Its like showing a picture of 5 girls who you never met and ask "who Should I marry?"
I am not saying it is impossible to pick a team to root for, just this year I have started rooting for LSU. The trick for me is that I bet on LSU every week and they have done a fantastic job of covering the spread. Rooting for Syracuse in football every week is taking years off my life, I need a team to balance it out.My dog's butt smells like cookiesComment

That's probably what's gonna happen.Comment

Re: Who should I root for?
This is KEY. Absolutely SPOT ON.
That's the problem. And that's why, I'm sure, I'll just have an "increased interest" in college basketball as a whole. The only team I can truly "root for" is Fresno State, and I always root for them to do well anyway even if I never get to watch their games.
That's probably what's gonna happen.
I mean, I wish Beilein still coached at WVU in a lot of ways as I loved watching that particular brand of offense, but I didn't up and become a Michigan fan when Beilein left for Ann Arbor in 2007.Comment

Re: Who should I root for?
Ok guys I've placed myself in the same boat as Matrix. However, unlike Matrix, I don't really have any requirements, other than they have to be fun to watch, on TV every now and then so I can catch them sometimes, and they have to be decent to good, but not someone who's always ranked in the Top 25. Other than that, I don't care about conference, style of play, or anything like that. I'm leaning towards a team like Oklahoma State.
Maybe they're not good, but I don't see how you can like a team in one sport and not give a damn about them in another sport.Comment

Re: Who should I root for?
Root for Michigan. Great young pg in Trey Burke, with one of the best HS big men in the country coming next year (Mitch McGary). Plus if you're looking for a fix that reminds you of the NBA, Tim Hardaway JR & Jon Horford (Al's bro) can help with that, and Glenn Robinson III on his way next year. As far as current big men go, we're kinda lacking, but Jordan Morgan can set a mean pick & roll. Not to mention the senior leadership of Zack Novak and Stu Douglass. Novak is one of my 5 favorite UM players of all time because of the ridiculous hustle and heart.Wolverines Wings Same Old Lions Tigers Pistons Erika ChristensenComment

I see your on the West Coast, but I think you would feel great honor in being a fan of Uconn. Even when they have no stars they are fun to watch and its a joy to See Jim do his work on the bench.Comment
