Matt Painter did a horrible job coaching at the end of this game.
Purdue should have won this game!
He called 3 timeouts in the last minute of this game and they had 3 horrible poss.
Kansas should have been sent home!
Purdue played scared the last minute of the game, they played not to lose instead of playing to win.
Again Painter was just out coached by Self the last minute of the game plain and simple.

I agree somewhat. Painter has a maddening tendency to always go to the high ball screen at the end of halves rather than just running the usual offense. Nonetheless, I doubt the plan coming out of the timeout was to have Lewis Jackson dribble into three defenders without looking to Terone Johnson or Robbie Hummel.
      NFL: Indianapolis Colts (12-6)
      NBA: Indiana Pacers (42-13)
      MLB: Cincinnati Reds (0-0)

NCAA: Purdue Boilermakers (FB: 1-11, BB: 15-12), Michigan Wolverines (FB: 7-6, BB: 19-7, H: 15-10-3)

The thing was they just didnt look like they had a plan at the end of the game.
They looked totally lost! As a coach you have to have your team more prepared to hold a lead at the end of the game. They just quit attacking and it cost them the game. Really hated to see it end that way for Humell. He totally tore apart Robinson in this game, esp in the first half.

Glad that after years of Ohio State and now Michigan fans being stupid with the name games, the real Ohio is showing the world what they are capable of.

Believe me, I know as well as anyone how hard it was to watch the end, especially with regards to Hummel.

I bet you felt really cool when you posted this. Must be tough being a fan (most likely of the Wal-Mart variety, because Notre Dame graduates not only would do research to see Ohio has been to the round of 16 before, but they'd also spell correctly) of a major program that has one Final Four appearance ever.

It's possible, but any team CAN beat any other team. Do you predict it?

Nope, I don't predict anything with this Pack team haha.

Well, Independence High School could beat Kansas, too!

In all seriousness, I do think the Pack have a halfway-decent chance at topping Kansas (Purdue gave me hope). I think Kansas will more-than-likely win, but you never know.

I didn't think we'd make it out of the first round (I wasn't aware of how small SDSU was), so this is all icing on the cake.

But, seriously, get by Kansas, play a UNC team that looks more beatable by the day and NCSU ends up in the Final Four... That's unlikely, but by no means impossible.

Independence HS basketball team sucks, my old HS team is much better. The big I is a football school.

But they still could beat Kansas. Theoretically, anyone can beat anyone (of course, in reality, this is not the case).

*I just picked Independence High because I was trying to think of a High School in Charlotte*

I always feel pretty cool, but it has nothing to do with posting messages on a forum on a website. And if you knew anything about my messages on this forum you would know I am a Indiana season ticket holder that grew up about 10 miles from Btown. So check your research on "my" team and you will see there are quite a few banners hanging in "my" teams arena. You might know this if you didnt just post on these boards when your team finally does something.
Not sure what a Wal-Mart variety fan is, you will have to explain that one. But to me it would be someone who only post when their teams does good, which is exactly what you have done. I have been thru hell the last 4 years following IU but i still supported them.
Also as far as doing research, this is the Bobcats first sweet 16 appearance in the currently NCAA tourney set up. I believe the other one was in what 1964 or something. By the way I do know quite a bit about your Bobcats as one of my friends from HS is married to your coach. She is from Lawrenceburg, IN which is where I live.

So Notre Dame for football, Indiana for basketball? Must be nice to cover all the bases. Those are the best kind of fans. In Ohio, the combo usually is Ohio State for football, North Carolina for basketball. At least you keep it in-state over there with your "pick-a-sport" college rooting.

Wal-Mart fans are the ones who talk like it's their team and their school, when it isn't. Going to the actual college that you root for makes a bit of a difference. Then you take that someone, like me, who played a sport at that school, and you show even more pride. Sorry that I must not post enough for your liking about real sports on a video game sports website to get the right to brag a bit. Considering we just beat Michigan, and we are finally being referred to as Ohio (despite Ohio State trying desperately to have that name), I'm just a bit proud of what the first university in the Northwest Territory has pulled off. Finally getting respect in a crowded college scene in the Midwest. Ohio actually has a very solid athletic tradition overall, albeit not to the degree of "your" Hoosiers and "your" Irish.
