And to add, the lane violation call was terrible because they let those slide all day.

Consistency is key as a ref. If you want to call soft fouls, fine, but call them both ways and throughout the game. If you disregard small things like lane violations or debatable carries, don't regard them when the game is on the line. The players were under the impression that lane violations were okay.

How does that help when it should it been out of bounds on Syracuse??? That doesn't make any sense. The result of them screwing up that call is is that they screw UNCA an opportunity to have the ball on their own side of the court to tie the game or go down by 1 at least. They got hosed for playing good D.

It sucks that VCU and Wichita State have to play in the opening round. I always pull for the mid major unless they are playing Michigan.

Agreed. Mid-Majors playing this year was bound to happen though.

So they must have changed the rule on the lane violations or else I misunderstood the rule, because I was sure that the guy behind the shooter only has to wait until the ball is released.

Anyway, the fix is still in, and there is still a conspiracy for the power conference teams to win the games.

This is why a 16 seed will never beat a 1. The top teams have too much money to throw at the NCAA.

Really? Then the refs really didn't mess up badly at all. They made the wrong call on that inbounds play, but the right result, and the result actually helped UNCA because it put Scoop on the line instead of Triche.

Well... I'm going to be disappointed if The Beach ends up losing here (had them beating LOU), but at least these last two games have been worthy entertainment. This is a great game to watch actually.

I don't know how anyone cannot love THE BEACH. Casper Ware is outstanding. And their jerseys freaking say THE BEACH on them.

New Mexico has done a fantastic job on Casper Ware through out this game. He has not been able to get many good looks at all.
