Interested to see what happens here. Gave $30k cash down payment in 12/2009 (the season Duke won the NC) on $100k of jewelry. Most kids don't have $30k for jewelry at that age. Of course, he could have a very rich family, but interesting nonetheless.

If it was a loan against his future earnings, that is an NCAA violation. But what is odd is he gave $30k down and the jeweler potentially extended credit for the other $68k. But it needed to be paid within 15 days. If it was against his future earnings, surely the jeweler didn't think he would sign as a pro within 2 weeks during the middle of the season. So I doubt it was against his future earnings. But what other reason would he extend that kind of credit?#WeAreUKComment

Looks like it was June 29. Try again.
Edit: I was wrong, the earliest I have found the picture from is May 31st. Still after the season and no longer matters. Could be from before that though, I just haven't found it. Not sure why I am even doing this other than to stop disinformation. It's not a big news story as much as you think it should be.
I mean if you want to investigate this, then you might as well do the same for every single School in the NCAA and yes I'm serious. I would love nothing more than to see dook get caught up in the NCAA mess...but I also know that this is not a big deal and I'm not expecting anything to go down from this either.
