Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Anyway my dad made a bet with me today that Indiana will be the first 1 seed eliminated. I know you'd guys love that, but here's to hoping I make some easy money on that. In my opinion it'll be Gonzaga.. or it should be anyway.Indianapolis Colts
Indiana Pacers
Indiana Hoosiers

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Bring on NC State!
Middle Tennessee State being in and Oregon as a 12 seed were the only big controversial things about the bracket, maybe California being a 12 but that's about it. I understand that the bracketing procedures dictate a lot of stuff."Ma'am I don't make the rules up. I just think them up and write em down". - Cartman

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Babinski said something weird on ESPN.
They don't bracket on an S curve anymore, it's just straight seeding. That's how Louisville ended up with the #2 2 seed in their region in Duke.
That's stupid. Why wouldn't you want the #4 1 seed now, other than location?Last edited by Bellsprout; 03-17-2013, 07:51 PM.Member: OS Uni Snob Association | Twitter: @MyNameIsJesseG | #WT4M | #WatchTheWorldBurn

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Middle Tennesee being in it is a joke. They are 1-4 vs top 100 teams. Which basically means if they played a hard schedule they would be below .500..
Its like a city High School playing against elementary schools and then winning the state championship because of a perfect record. Makes no damn sense. Whatever, they wont win a game anywayComment

There isn't anyone that really deserved to be in more than them, so they are in. Simple as that.Fan of....

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Why is everyone so up in arms about them? Just because they are a smaller conference school? They are in the top 30 in RPI, and had one of the most difficult non conference schedules in the country.

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
Not sure which site you are using....but CBS has Middle Tenn. as 29th in RPI and Southern Miss as 31. It also has Southern Miss at only 3-7 against top 100 RPI teams. Middle Tennessee was one of the hottest teams in the country. They won almost 20 games in a row before losing in their conference tournament.Fan of....

Re: 2013 Selection Sunday Thread
I was using Realtime RPI and they haven't updated since this morning. ECU apparently fell from 99 to 104 today. Okay, I'd still take So. Miss.
EDIT: The more I look at it, the more I see the argument for MTSU. They scheduled well OOC, can't help the fact that they play in the Sun Belt. Both resumes are better than La Salle's, though. I had MTSU in, LaSalle out.Last edited by Fly3; 03-17-2013, 11:19 PM.Comment
