UK received commitments from 5 star players Isaiah Briscoe and Skal Labrisierre. 2 great gets although Skal is someone that may never play depending on what his scum bag guardian has done. Worth the risk because if he plays he is one of the best big men they could get. He apparently is a 3.5 gpa student and came to the states after being buried alive in the Haiti earthquake. Thankfully his father was able to get him, his brother and his mother out after about 3 hours stuck in his home's rubble. The guardian is a piece of work though and its possible he has jeopardized Skal's eligibility. Hopefully not.

This was a while ago and may have already been posted, but Texas got their LOI's from 4 star combo guard Eric Davis from Michigan, and from 4 star point guard Kerwin Roach from Texas.

Eric Davis, who is 6'3, is a great scoring guard and is a great facilitator at times when he is running point. Needs to add more bulk to his frame and improve his shot selection. Definitely a great get for Rick Barnes as this kid had offers from teams like Michigan State, Michigan, and UCLA.

Kerwin Roach, who is also 6'3, is a point guard who plays a lot like current Texas point guard Isaiah Taylor. He is a very athletic slashing type point guard who quick first step to the basket. Unlike Isaiah Taylor, though, Roach is already a very good shooter coming out of high school. He has a great pull up mid range game and can also knock down the occasional three point shot. Like Davis, Roach will need to add some more bulk to his frame as well as improve his ball handling skills and rebounding.

A good class for Rick Barnes and his team as he got two great recruits at positions where the Longhorns don't have a lot of depth at.

LSU lands another big time recruit in louisville decommit, "Antonio Blakeney". Some serious talent on that squad now with Simmons, Martin and Mickey, of course those last two May not come back.

But LSU is looking rather formidable for next season. Would have been a great get for Kentucky, but it looks like the focus turns toward Malik.

I just went and watched a couple of prep school games today. One of which featured Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro, NH. They started a line up of top recruits. A couple of guys that stood out to me in the game were Donovan Mitchell a 6-3 G from CT going to Louisville. Another was Justin Simon a 6-5 G from CA who has committed to Arizona. Here are some highlights of them. A third was David Crisp who is going to be attending Washington.
Edit: Mitchell and Simon are McDonald's All-American nominees. And it was easy to why watching this game today.

Might go watch Diamond Stone tomorrow. Obviously the #7 recruit it the nation choosing between Oklahoma State, UConn, Maryland, and Wisconsin. As it seems he wants to play in the Big 10, I think it'll be between Maryland and Wisconsin. Personally I think we'll see him in a Maryland jersey next year. Who knows when he'll make his decision, as he did previously say he was going to announce November of last year, but that never did happen. Interesting story.

Derrik Smits is 7 ft tall, and plays for Zionsville here in Indiana. I hated Zionsville, we played them every year back when I was in High school, and they are a bunch of snot nosed cityits, but I wont hold that against Derrik Smits,lol. He turned down Butler which is surprising to go to Valpo, being that Butler is close to where he lives, where Valpo is way up north near the Michigan border.

I am from Indy myself. Maybe the kid wanted a school where he wouldn't have as much attention on him. Now that Butler is in the Big East they have more eyes on them on regular basis.
