Re: 2/24-3/2 Game Discussion Thread
A smallportion of the Kentucky fanbase this year was saying Kentucky would/can go 40-0. No rational fan thought they had a chance to do it.
You mean OS or in Louisville? Nobody on OS said they were going to go undefeated I believe.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Louisville, Shelbyville, Bardstown, E-town, Bullitt County but not on OS no. The OS UK fans for the most part are quite reasonable.I've heard this "patience is a virtue" junk all my life. I'm happy to say I have no virtue, no scruples, and no desire to wait too long for anything. In my humble opinion instant gratification takes too long!

I will actually be a little surprised if Okie State does not knock off KU tonight.Comment

Re: 2/24-3/2 Game Discussion Thread
Alright that's what I thought. Like I said, any rational fan knew it wasn't happening. Especially considering they had Michigan State as their third game of the year & had to go to North Carolina. I don't think anyone expected them to be this bad either though. They looked good against UL at home, but lost to Arkansas there as well. That's just unfathomable to me.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

Re: Calipari....is anybody really surprised? The Davis/Teague/MKG title team is very much the exception. You recruit a bunch of 5* one and dones every cycle, you'll capture lightning in a bottle once in a while, but more often than not, you're going to have a team full of inexperience that makes mistakes like freshmen and has little to no chemistry because they're all used to being "the man" and can't cope with being asked to fill a lesser role on a team.
Edit: It's simple really, Kentucky has not had a good point guard the last two years, All of Cal's good teams have had a premier point guard, or at least one that can run an offense fluidly, Goodwin was a sg forced to play out of position, and Andrew was just so severely overrated, it's almost funny.
Kentucky's struggles all start with the point guard, it's not the garbage that the media wants you to think, "Oh these guys just don't like each other, and their's no chemistry, they are all emotionless" It's the fact that you have to have someone to run the offense, and Andrew knows only two things;" make bad decisions and shoot ugly floaters", that's it. He runs the offense like ****, and he tries to be a scorer, because he is not a playmaker, he does neither well. I think Ullis will be the glue next year.
Unless Andrew makes a huge improvement in the next few games, Kentucky can wait till next year, Cal should start Polson, if nothing more then to tell Andrew you aren't very good. But he won't.Last edited by DamnYanks2; 03-01-2014, 10:38 PM.Comment

Had a good start to March Madness today with a college hoops doubleheader. First I saw Florida Gulf Coast beat the crap out of Northern Kentucky. FGCU is a potential Dance team. Need to make it through the A-Sun Tourney first. Then I watched my Xavier Musketeers upset Creighton. Doug McDermott is really, really good. It looks like every shot he takes is going in.
I love college basketball.MLB: Cincinnati Reds

When Smart gets drafted, I think he might immediately be the biggest flopper in the NBA. He's flopped at least 3 or 4 times just tonight.NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks

Marcus Smart showing us why he's the best guard in America.
Embiid according to twitter was in a ton of pain going back to the locker room. If he isn't healthy Kansas is in a lot of trouble in the tournament.Cincinnati Reds University of Kentucky Cincinnati Bengals

The ref was an idiot for getting in Cronin's face, but how this whole sequence happened without even one technical is crazy.Originally posted by Jay BilasThe question isn't whether UConn belongs with the elites, but over the last 20 years, whether the rest of the college basketball elite belongs with UConnComment

It comes down to coaching, Ford cannot develop talent. He pulls out wins like this, but loses to a lot of the teams we should have beat in Big XII play.Oklahoma State Cowboys 2011 Big XII Champions, 2012 Fiesta Bowl Champions
