No I completely agree that Wichita State should be a Number 1 seed because, besides the fact they went undefeated which is impressive, they are a very good team.

My point is that if you're going to use the argument that UofL is a 4 seed because they don't play anybody, then you can't give Wichita State a number one seed if who you play is part of the formula.

…they went 34-0. Rhetorical question though, right?

With Louisville, it comes down to whether or not teams are being seeded based upon their resume or based upon how good they are. Louisville, IMO, is the best team in the country, but they didn't really play anyone.

I don't have a problem with Louisville not being a #1 seed, but at worst, the committee should have split the baby and at least given them a 3 seed.

Again, I don't think Wichita State is overseeded, but if the formula uses both how you look and who you play then you have to think if Wichita State is a #1 then you would have to believe that UofL is underseeded at a 4.

Can somone please explain why Iowa, who lost 6/7 down the streach (including the first round of the Big 10 Tourny) is in and someone like UW-Green Bay is out?

          Power conference bias?

Because they both had about the same # of impressive wins, but Louisville lost 5 games while Wichita is undefeated. Their strength of schedules are nearly identical but as I said, Louisville lost a handful of games. Wichita didn't.

Iowa has a better resume. 4 top 50 wins, 3 more wins in the 51-100 range. And those 6 losses were to 6, 47, 99, 24, 71, and then 126.

Green Bay had 1 top 50 win and 3 in the 51-100 range, while they had losses to 184, 131, and 131 again in their final 10 games, with their best win in the last 10 games being against the #90 and #170.

NC State in is a JOKE. Nc st may be biggest bs selection in last 10 years. 4 top 100 wins. Arkansas had 9.

I understand we blew it with a loss against Alabama/South Carolina back to back. However them being in is a TRAVESTY.

After filling out my first bracket (using mainly KenPom stats and what I know about each of the teams), I have 4/16 being 5+ seeds in the Sweet 16. Not sure how that compares to the usual.

Seems on par according to that my one upset I am going on is Syracuse falling to Western Michigan, Syracuse on a three line seems a bit too high I had them a five seed

It's not difficult to figure out why Louisville got a 4-seed. They beat two tournament teams all year (UConn three times, Cinncy once). They were an atrocious match up for UConn this year, none of those games were close.

The only other tournament teams they faced they lost to: UNC, Kentucky, Memphis twice and Cinncy once.

Their schedule was weak and the eye-test they've been passing the last few weeks has been against bottom-feeders and a UConn team that probably won't make it out of the first weekend.

                                Was anyone just watching Bracketology?

Wow. Dick Vitale needs to go away for a while.

He was speaking about Tony Bennett the Virginia coach, and he (Vitale) asked him (Bennett) have you ever met anyone else by the name of Tony Bennett? Then the coach said, I met a stripper once named Toni Bennett.

Reece Davis got very quiet for about 5 seconds, and said, "In interest of keeping my job I won't comment on that."
