Thank God the tournament is back tonight. After watching basketball nonstop from Thursday to Sunday night, I feel empty on monday when the tournament is not on.Comment

These calls are a joke in the 2nd half.
And uhhhh, how did that official miss the double dribble?

Random comment: I can't believe it's been a decade since the classic Gonzaga UCLA Sweet 16 game. That was a great night of basketball with the Texas West Virginia game wrapping up before that game on a Kenton Paulino game winning 3 after Pittsnogle game tying 3.

Miami had no chance against a team shooting like this. Unless Nova returns to reality then this one is over. Pretty good year for Miami. I think most who followed the program thought sweet 16 sounded right. This team was as good as the 2013 squad coming into the year. They've played super sloppy lately on offense and have gone from a top 10 team in getting called for the least amount of fouls to getting called for nearly 25 a game the past two weeks.

Like I said, this was a blowout. In a game like tonight where they are blowing their whistle for ticky tacky fouls all night, Miami doesn't win. Miami does their best when both teams are allowed to do whatever they want. I don't care if Miami shoots 55% every game. You call the game like it was tonight and they lose every time because they get extremely soft whenever the refs believe the fans are there to see them.
Add in to the fact that Villanova is playing unreal basketball and it was never really going to be close. Miami had a good run throughout the year, but this was a disappointing tournament and not one of Coach L's shining moments in his 5 years here. This was a very talented Miami squad that he never got playing like a team all year and tonight showed that. They play like 5 individual players 90% of the time and Villanova exposed that with their gameplan. Coach L was drastically outcoached tonight.
Miami didn't come out on top in any category tonight. Villanova beat them in every single aspect of the game from the coaching to the player's performances. A sweet 16 appearance is nice and all, but Miami couldn't have played any sloppier to end the year and they carried it over with them into the tournament. They simply out talented everyone all year for the most part. When they face a team that is as good as them and they still refuse to play as a team, then a game like tonight happens.
