I'm not sure what Gonzaga was doing the last few possessions. The first weekend of the tournament was awesome but the sweet 16 has been boring. Even the 2 close games were not enjoyable to watch.

Both major chokes from Wisky and Gonzaga really.

Gonzaga felt worse to me. Wisconsin just had a bad 20 seconds with some mistakes from experienced guys who have made big plays. Gonzaga looked like they just forgot how to play basketball the last 2 to 3 minutes.

I was semi worried about this game but looks like we got this game.

ND vs. UNC

We lost against the Irish up in South Bend back in February but we were nowhere near the cohesive and productive team we are today. I think the beatdown of the Irish in the ACC tournament is more of what I expect. Maybe not 20+ but I expect to have a 5+ point cushion the entire game.

Brice has a mean streak and plays angry...his defense has been spectacular. Roy Williams team defense has always been the Achilles heel but when we try on the defensive end, we're always a national contender. I love how this team is playing.

Gonzaga was much worse for the final 3 minutes. The tried to sit on the ball and go late in the shot clock against the zone. They had trouble inbounding and they couldn't get a rebound or loose ball on the defensive end. If I were a Gonzaga fan I would be pretty sick right now.

They can't review stepping out of bounds, really? Dumb.

I was shocked that play could be made by the Red that couldn't see the baseline. Worst of all they couldn't over turn it. When the replay clearly shows he was inbounds. I really thought that was going to be the game changing play. The NCAA would of ate that one.

Here was the thing I notice from the beginning of the game. Gonzaga never got themselves easy baskets in the half court or the break. Gonzaga never got in the lane or the free throw line. Yea they started out really hot from deep. Their shot quality was at best good.

Like you said,They sat on the ball even worst in those 2-3 minutes. Gonzaga had so much trouble staying in front of Richardson. When Trevor Cooney is driving by a defense for layup. You got a bigger problem.

Earned himself a spot in the lottery with his play in the last few weeks.

I dont know why college teams dont press more in late games. A lot of college teams seem to struggle breaking it.

Good question.... the pressure seems to effect everyone in those situations. The the orange were trapping the ball very well.

I'm not really sure Gonzaga was a choke job so much as Syracuse just made a run. Gonzaga never really seemed to be comfortable against the zone to me. Wiltjer and Sabonis were killing it (Wiltjer in the 1st half and Sabonis in the 2nd), but even then, their team must have simply lost control of the ball/dropped the ball 15+ times tonight and they never really got penetration.

They didn't handle the press well at all, but outside of that, it's hard for me to say it was a choke job. The game went back and forth basically the whole time and Syracuse just made the last run.
