Shaka has always been overrated. I always thought his "Havoc" teams were easy to beat once you realized that if you stop them from scoring that they couldn't set up their defense.

He recruits well now and gets his guys to play hard. His in game adjustments are poor and their offense is bland. Look at the out of bounds play at the end of regulation.

Auburn tried to let College of Charleston win that game. That last 3 to tie by Charleston was terrible. If you don’t have space to shoot, then pass the ball.

Biggest problem was good foul shooters missing their free throws in the last minute and the questionable foul they took with a 20 second differential between shot clock and game clock when they were down 3.

I thought the same with Barnes. That man had so much talent at Texas. They recruited like the blue bloods.

But Barnes has done a wonderful job turning around Tennessee. Such a well coached squad.

I thought Rick Barnes didn't get the credit he deserved for the job he did for about the 1st decade he was there. I thought the last 5 years or so, he either didn't get target the right talented player ( Jordan Hamilton) or didn't get the right guys to stay long enough ( Avery Bradley, Cory Joseph, etc).

UVA better wake up. Still plenty of time, but they’re not built to come back from big deficits and UMBC has run the lead up to 7. Still figure UVA will come back, but my goodness. We’ll see how the Hoos respond after this timeout.

EDIT: Not well, apparently. UMBC up 11 and is about to shoot three shots from the charity stripe after this timeout...
