This is the Kentucky team I’ve been waiting for.

My goodness, they are firing on all cylinders.

What’s the argument for court storming still being around other than “tradition”?

        Boom.

        Nailed it.

Huge tourney entry win for Wake.

I think it's weak as hell. But these schools are more then happy to pay the fine.

Yes and Filipowski got hurt too because of the court storm apparently.

I really think the NCAA, the security guards at the arena, and the school administration need to do a better job at preventing court storms. They could potentially force more severe penalties like making teams forfeit games for court storming. Sooner or later someone is going to get hurt and it will look bad on the university, like Caitlin Clark or Kyle Filipowski.
              My Teams:

              Arkansas Razorbacks
              Detroit Tigers
              Detroit Pistons
              Detroit Red Wings
              Detroit Lions

Im sure they'll do something about it now that a Duke player was involved. They'll put fences around the stands 😅

I still don't get the appeal of storming a court versus just cheering and jumping down in your seat? The players and coaches are gone anyways so you're excited like you were in your seat...but now cramped too?

I totally agree with you, its honestly the same thing. Fans shouldnt be allowed on the field of play, its really designed to be for coaches and student athletes only.

Ive been hearing everything tonight ranging from increasing the fines for that particular school or banning students from attending games. I feel like they both wont work because the fans dont have to pay the fines the school does so they could care less. Arkansas has stormed the football field last year when we beat Texas and this year we stormed the court when we beat Duke. I think we paid 250,000 or 500,000 but most if not all of these schools have a ton of money so they dont mind paying the fines.

I dont think banning the students from attending games is the answer either. If multiple students rush the field/storm the court then they will have a hard time tracking down every student and banning them. There really will be no more student section at games if this happens.

I see a trend happening. Win a huge game and then there's the letdown trap game right after. Usually on the road.

Kentucky wins huge game at ranked Auburn. Then loses to a garbage 14-13 LSU team.

Washington St beats #5 Arizona. Then falls to unranked 14-14 Arizona St.

Creighton smokes #1 UCONN. Then falls to a 16-12 St Johns team.

Not a perfect science. But it makes sense. Gotta get up for every game.
