2K26 MyNBA / Franchise Mode

I think what's going to happen in MYNBA Eras that will be more new will be this:

- Dynamic Banners: They will have more of a deep dive into this during the week that they didn't touch on in the presentation blog.
- More Teams in FIBA Mode: There was a tidbit about a "Team China" in one of the blogs I believe, so that tells me that they will add more national teams to the more and have it more fleshed out.
- Cutscenes for Awards: More imagery on what that will look like, what era will it be in and more

Those will prolly be the main main things they discuss at nauseam, with MyGM going to be part of the other stuff.

Hoping for more "Small things" though!

I would not get my hopes up for any of those things other than maybe the FIFA expansion. The other two would be nice but I doubt they’ll get either in.

Dynamic Banners and cutscenes are in.. but we just dont know to what extent. They were part of the Presentation blog, but Im definitely getting my hopes up for any Era related news with those for sure.

I know im in the minority but I play MyWNBA only since the men lost the Sonics (hometown team) as the Storm. And im really hoping they bring that mode more up to date with MYNBA because it is barebones compared to it. Like commentary is very repeating and even has lines saying "there he goes" or using "him" in dialog just shows how they really need to update it, halftime show is nonexistent and other stuff that MYNBA has but MyWNBA doesn't. I'll be honest im buying this but I've made the decision for sports game (mlb,nfl,nba) im only buying once per console generation because updates for franchise modes are few and far between. So this my last nba until the first or 2nd game that comes out for the next console gen (ps6/Xbox whatever it's called lol)

I do not play My NBA/My GM enough to know how impactful the changes and updates will be.

what a underwhelming courtside report ever i read.. i don't care about Dynamic Banner for whoever win nba championship in NBA Finals.. i don't get why 2k save MyNBA courtside report for last

Lackluster update. All fluff nothing added to the meat & bones of the mode (making the AI controlled teams challenging outside of juiced progression). Its clear the people in charge of this mode are RPG focused. No improve to the AI logic or roster contrusction. Player progression system still the same.

But hey you can change the clothes of your GM.

what does playoffs online have to do with MyNBA

this mode will remain largely stagnant anf receive window dressing


they even found a way to include MyPlayer in MyNBA lol (i jest)

I will definitely be waiting on impressions before I spend money on this game. Even then, I’ll wait until it’s on sale. Every Courtside Report has been a disappointment.

The banners thing is pretty cool but I only play one season per year. It'd be cool if they gave you the option right before you start a new season to mention that you won a championship in 2K25 and then they add the banner for that season.

Other than that there's nothing new for this season. I was hoping to at least see some G-League roster control.

And they didn't even say they fix major bugs
Yea we are one step closer to 2k making this a online mode only

The only thing of interest was that it sounds like they improved the playoff atmosphere. My first game might be in the playoffs mode just to see how much better it is. Would have been nice if they included a video to show it off.

Community Day was this week so hopefully we'll be getting impressions and maybe even some gameplay soon. Just need to seek out the Youtubers who are focused on gameplay and sim basketball. Kevin Cruz is one Youtuber who is usually good.

I've said it before but it's like EA and 2K have switched identities. With Madden and College Football, they're really putting in effort to improve things on and off the field. From gameplay to presentation to franchise mode. 2K, on the other hand, seems like they're doing small tweaks here and there just so it isn't exactly the same, but nothing major.
That said, I'm easy to please. If the gameplay, graphics, and presentation/atmosphere are a noticeable improvement it will probably be enough to satisfy me.

The Sim Speed thing is weird. I'll gladly accept any improvements to simming, but was the speed really a problem? I usually play every game so I never really simmed long periods of time. But "Sim games faster for stupider results" seems like an odd feature. I'll reserve judgment until I actually play it because MyNBA is already pretty good so small improvements and good gameplay/graphics can still go a long way.

This MYNBA report was disappointing especially for the MyWNBA where the only mentioned was that they added a expansion team..... like nothing about if the upgrades they made to MYNBA were put into MyWNBA or nothing. And this is why im only buying each sports game once a console generation from now on
