For a MyNBA offline player, is there any real need to get the new game?

It would definitely be too obvious for the game to ask if you want the player to be on a 2way when you try and add a player to a roster that has 15 players already, like it does during a save. Or they could just let you have more than 15 players on a team, given the game automatically reduces bloated rosters when you start a new game.

It's also annoying that the salary only goes up in preset increments when editing, so half the time you cant even recreate contracts properly anyway.

And that you can't move picks around in the roster editing section, so you can't fully update trades.

This was "fixed" in 2k25. However, the fix was just that teams signed every single draft pick, regardless of quality or roster spots, which led to teams not picking up options and waiving good players to get their roster size back down to 15.

I am interested if the new "smarter" simulation logic extends to offseason tasks or if it only applies to trades? As leaving the CPU to its own devices during the offseason hasn't been viable for years now, unless you want illogical outcomes.

That sucks.. there was a guy last year who needs accurate draft classes last year we with all the unlocked character appearances and accurate portraits. Made MYNBA that much better

The official site of 2k put some emphasys on different directives and goals for every team.
Is this feature available in eras or Is just for current MyNba? I play eras and would give a fresh look for me

If you play mostly NBA games you will appreciate the small touches.

Shams joins the commentary crew most games and gives an overview of the teams playing. Later in the season he talks about in MyNBA trades that have been made. It’s a nice touch. The late game commentary has had a nice upgrade as well. Also, Steve Smith is gone now and I kind of love it. He was my least favorite commentator after Webber and I do like not hearing his voice.

As an offline MyNBA player, realism is the most important part of the game for me. That starts with making sure every player has an accurate and up to date face scan, not just the stars. It is frustrating to see players with the same scan for years or still using a generic CAP face while 2K promotes influencers getting scanned instead of actual NBA players.

The AI also needs improvement. Star players on CPU teams often have little impact and playoff rotations are unrealistic. In real life teams shorten to about eight players, but in 2K the CPU still uses ten and benches starters in the fourth quarter of playoff games.

The G League should feel more authentic. If real rosters are not possible yet, at least give users full control of their affiliate so we can set lineups and rotations, especially for Two Way or assigned NBA players.

Creators like CelticLG have shown how much better the game can be with attention to detail. Cross platform roster sharing in 2K25 was a huge win for offline players, so removing it in 2K26 feels like a step backwards. Offline players deserve more care and a realistic, fully developed basketball world.

Let's say I waive Colin Coward, who is on his 4Y rookie scale, with the intention of immediately re-signing him once I transfer the new 15th man over to a Two-Way slot. Coward automatically becomes a 1Y minimum and this CANNOT be changed. He can't be given back his Year 2-4, and is stuck making 1.27M. This is obviously an atrociously big problem/bug given the handicaps 2K already places on users in roster editing.

This cannot be fixed because Contracts are not part of Player DNA (which is also why you can't just upload DNA to override a player's corrupted / incorrect contract).

Does this happen within a MyNBA file as well?

I just want to know if jumpshot fouls have been brought back. I really like how 2k25 plays, except they completely removed jump shot fouls to the point its a game breaking issue for me. It completely ruins the experience when a defender will literally tackle the shooter and nothing is called...

Besides the glitch with players entering the FA pool and not being able to sign two-way deals, how is the offseason? Do GMs make decent trades? Are there dumb signings? What's it look like?

I don't think that's a MyNBA glitch, it's just a shortcoming of the roster editor and has been for years now. You can still sign players to 2ways within a save.

I think this just shows how much they prioritize online over offline. Last year online people were having issues with PC playwrs.. so they removed crossplay

However, last year was grear for offline, brcause it allowed us to access PC rosters

Wonder if they can update it and do what the new Battlefield is doing where people can disable cross play with PC if they want.

Edit: I hate when decisions are made based on the preference of one portion of the audience instead of simply giving us options. Why completely remove cross-play with PC when there could be an option? Why make it "Green or miss" on all-star and up when there could easily be an option to enable/disable it?

Man, I thought I was the only person that noticed this lol. If anybody could find out if this is fixed I’d really appreciate it. Don’t want to spend 70 dollars if it’s still broken.
