So I finally won the All-Star Weekend 3-Point Shootout, but then immediately after the trophy celebration, it loads up my next regular season game against Brooklyn.

What happened to the Rising Stars game I was supposed to play in?

I had a press conference on the day of my invite, and I even had the cutscene with my agent about about how I needed to outscore Jackson Ellis in the Rising Stars game to earn an endorsement deal with Champs Sports.

But as soon as the 3-point Shootout ended, it loaded me right into a regular season matchup against Brooklyn.

And now I'm reading my social media timeline, and it's like the Rising Stars game never even took place. There's no mention of it or of Jackson Ellis, but I somehow got the Champs Sports deal anyway.

I think I am done with this mode until 2k patches it and enables the team to call plays. It is terrible that this legacy issue that had to be patched in previous games is still there. Makes you wonder if they take time away from development to test the game. It sucks trying to freelance every time on offense. My player is a spot up shooting guard and without any action from screens I have trouble getting shots. Any type of play movement would help. Right now it seems that my teammates just stand around. Please fix this with this so called "big" 3rd patch.

I was able to play the rising star game. After that, I proceed to the next game, and was shown the all star menu. I think it was attempting to load up the slam dunk contest. I thought there was a way to practice in normal mode outside of myCareer so I closed the application.

After launching myCareer again, it didn't load up the slam dunk contest and jumped straight to the all star game.

I think it goes like this. Play rising star challenge, then whatever comes in order, then the last game is the all star game.

My social feed didn't mention anything about the dunk contest either. =(

Yeah here are the dates from my social media feed:

Feb. 7 -- Invited to Rising Stars game

Feb. 14 -- Risings Stars game (I didn't get the option to play it)

Feb. 15 -- Three-Point Shootout (I played and won)

Feb. 19 -- Awarded Champs Sports Endorsement

I went back and found the box score from the Risings Stars game, and it definitely happened. But somehow, I wasn't on the roster, despite being invited and having all the cutscenes leading up to it.

Is that a trophy on PS4, or is it an Xbox One-only achievement? Because I didn't see one like that on the PS4 trophy list.

Neither, it's a MyPlayer milestone that awards you with VC if you complete it. You can check it through MyCareer or something like that, under milestones and press R1 to toggle to Season milestones.

So can you still put your gears back as soon as you get into the mode? Could you use the VC earned from myGM to your myCareer?

You probably can i didn't try to put the gear back on because i don't want it to risk getting the errors again

you can use the VC from my GM though thats where i got 40k from

Has anyone actually been able to win the three point shootout?

My player has a 92 3-point rating. A good number of the shots I release with "perfect timing" don't go in.

I've tried this event like 20 times, and the highest I've scored is a 19.

I like playing the 3pt shootout but it makes no sense if you get it close to the basketball meter thing it misses...go past it you make it

So I broke down and started a new career. Made the mistake of going simulation on HoF though (my last one I did default/superstar) and was TURRIBLE in the showcase. Got interviewed by the Jazz and tanked it, then amazingly got interviewed by Chicago! Did my best there, and then in the draft I went ONE FRIGGIN PICK EARLY to the Cavs at 19. Needless to say I swore a lot. What a tease...

Was watching various mycareer videos today and saw this... that's a pretty intense bunch of cutscenes right there.. maybe not GTA level but pretty good for a game where the storytelling isn't even the focus..

Anyone else feel like signature skills don't work. I have dimer with 3 point shooters wide open and they miss to many. It feels like most of them don't work.

I just saw some My Player accessories you can buy that give your player a +2 attribute boost to certain categories.

Does anyone know if the accessory boosts allow you to go beyond your player's attribute limits?

For example, if my 3-point shooting is maxed out at 92, could I push it up to 94 by purchasing the +2 arm sleeve accessory?

Yes it does although i would wait till the next patch fixes the issues 2k is having now with gear
