Attention Original Poster: Not everyone wants what you want. I don't know why you feel the need to take to the forums to "Rant". Believe it or not DEVs do care about your feedback, but a post like this will never be read because of the way you approached it. Why you couldn't just post a professional paragraph about the things you don't like and why I have no idea.

2K Cant win. If Association were in this game instead of MyGM people would complain that the game is "stale". I think 2K did a good job of keeping things fresh and adding a new aspect like MyGM.

Also I'm not surprised that the people doing the most complaining in this thread have Laker logos.

A quick question: as it stands now, is it no longer possible to fill out the rest of the classic rosters with created versions of the real players (i.e. replace generic David Jones with Mike Smrek)? If so, would that also mean creating different classic teams from scratch would no longer be possible either?

Couple of things.

1. It is silly that there is no player player option in GM mode. That is just stupid.
2. CAP, CAT, and editing generics being out is also stupid. That is a big deal for me.

With that being said, I will still enjoy the game when I get it next week. It's next gen so I'll just be giddy over the graphics and gameplay.

What I hope doesn't happen is 2k adds those simple things next year and that is the main difference.

Here is to hoping they patch that stuff in.

simulation simulates realism. i agree they should give you the option within the mygm, but its to cluttered imo how it is in current gen. meaning the type of association, season, or playoff mode(waste of space) should be sub folders within the mygm option.

You cannot user control all 30 teams in season mode, but you can still make trades for non user controlled teams and adjust their rotations.

I guess since 2K is lacking with their rosters and association in NexGen I will save my $460 on the PS4 and NBA 2K14 until the summer of next year.

Dang I'm so disappointed. A friend of mine got 2K14 on and really like it but he is a casual gamer.

I'm appalled at some of the things I'm reading in this thread; please tell me MyGM isn't as ****ty as y'all are making it sound. No fantasy draft? No changing the season length? No customization? No buy.

Ugh. I'm getting Madden 13 vibes from this.

Take a Franchise mode that people liked, but could stand to do some work on, however, instead of improving on it, they remove it completely for a mode that is devoid of customization.

I really like the concept of MyGM as I love this kind of stuff. I do not like being forced to play as one team and I hate not being able to use user created draft classes.

Initial impression - wtf did they do to the menus?

Menu boy needs to go find other employment.

NEVER a good idea to remove options/modes/editing features.

In addition to mygm that 2k thinks is so awesome,
The OPTION to keep Traditional Association mode with fixes requested for multiple years and 30 team control would have had loyal fanbase raving about your game.

2k gotta come strong with feature/mode info for 2k15 for me to buy again.

NG 2k14 on-court is pretty good, but will be resold after the "new" wears off because there is nothing there to hold interest longterm for fans who want a realistic NBA simulation.

For fantasy/role player dudes MYGM is a great addition , and Im happy for them, but association guys just got told to bend over and grab your ankles...

I knew this mode would ruin the game as soon as they said the words---"association mode is gone". Really sad to hear the My GM is a sport sim mode on steroids. There should always be a choice for doing micro management modes vs the usual faire of modes.

Only if you choose season mode, standard My GM does not have fantasy draft, but you can use custom rosters in both versions of My GM.

Standard MyGM mode does have Fantasy Draft.
