Re: Kevin Durant asking for 18M LOOK!!

I think this is related to allocation funds in team operations. I got these offers when I had it fully funded but when putting no money to it I wouldn't get them.

If you purchased a system and a sports game and ignored this, you're partly to blame. I haven't noticed any of these issues yet, but ultimately I understand myGM is a first year mode, so I'm not expecting a well oiled machine. I've been having fun with it and I'm pleased they pretty much nailed graphics and gameplay in year one of a new console cycle. My two cents.
Agree. I totally get and support the opinion that it needs work. Of course it does. But the absolute raging that, supposedly, grown men do on game forums is comical and scary at the same time. You would think their woman was insulted or something. Same goes for the micro transaction grousing. It's really childish. A grown man is mature enough to just shrug, and say "**** that" and move on. You guys CAN live without this, you know.

Bunch of future stars on rookie deals only want to be a sixth man for 3 years apparently. Re-signed Hayward for 2 years 6 mill or something like that. Oladipo only wanted a 3 year deal 5 mil per as a sixth man.

When you spend $60 on a game day one, then you have every right to be annoyed when the game has features removed, garbage VC prices, unreasonable trophies, and other questionable decisions like being unable to save rosters to the hard drive.

There will not be a single person who gets the "complete the 13-14 nba myteam collection" without shelling out money to buy VC. Its really a shame, because I have no doubt that the devs are genuinely passionate about what they do and want to make the best basketball game possible.

Day 1 micro transactions are a legitimate issue. 2k is not the only culprit. You may think it's childish, but I personally don't believe that I should have to pay to unlock something that I've already paid for in ANY product.

A full season simulated of MyGM mode will net you enough to purchase.......one sleeve. That's 2k in a nutshell.

That's 2K Logic for you. I didn't know that a mode could actually be worse in logic than a current gen mode removed for Next Gen. Leftos please save Association.

I think people are justify to complain about their $60 if the product isn't currently living up to that $60. Right now, the broken online servers, the lack of any next gen roster update, the flaws of myGM and myCareer, the earning of VC to spending of VC ratio, and all these negative things overweigh the quality of the gameplay and graphics IMO, which is huge thing to overweigh.

You can have amazing gameplay and graphics, but if everything around it is broken or not working properly, then it's not $60. We're in the 21st century, a lot of people pay for a fully featured game that is actually fully functioning, not an alpha version of a game that needs patches.

That's my problem with a lot of game companies, not specifically 2K, I feel like they are just releasing at an opportune time, regardless of quality and then start patching which then will cause another thing to break and then a domino effect for future problems.

Lol'd! I just started my MGM play through...although I play online with a friend so hopefully I can get a good VC income from that. Or they can just re-do how you get VC in single player if they're going to make it essential to the game mode.

Yes, we have every right to complain about it. No doubt. But some folks are going ape**** over it. We've been over this though. Much if the game was redone. Started from zero. To expect everything back as it was in the first year is incredibly naive. Features weren't removed. They just weren't brought over. For the last couple of years, folks have been complaining about ports. You finally get a non-port and people complain? It's silly.

Saving rosters to the hardrive? You mean like hackers do? Yeah, I can see how that might not be a good thing to allow he either the game or the hardware makers.

I can't comment on VC. I don't mess with it. That was the point of my post.

I don't care about trophies, but shouldn't they be hard to get?

It's a collectible card game, man. No card game ever has allowed anyone to way to get every card with extraordinary measures. In my opinion, that's how it should be. Otherwise, the thrill is gone. And everyone is the same. There DOES need to be an auction house and I bet we see that in the future.

Day 1 micro transactions are a legitimate issue. 2k is not the only culprit. You may think it's childish, but I personally don't believe that I should have to pay to unlock something that I've already paid for in ANY product.
I don't think it childish. I agree with you. I hate that the industry is going this route. I just think it's childish to throw a tantrum over it. Like I said: so no thanks and just don't do it. But also, as a mature adult, recognize that over the last 10 years, the cost of making games has more than tripled in some cases? Has the cost of your game disc gone up that much? Nope. New revenue streams had to be made. Our demands have to be met, yet it's childish to think that we can keep asking for better games without having to pay for it somewhere.

A full season simulated of MyGM mode will net you enough to purchase.......one sleeve. That's 2k in a nutshell.
And I think THAT is crap. I can understand rewarding time spent playing. So why not scale that? Give 3 or 5 VC for a simmed game. Not zero. That's not right. I understand not wanting to create an artificial VC generator. But come on. This is a GM mode where most people will sim their games.

I suppose it is all a matter of perspective. And I guess it also depends what you mean by going "ape". Might you be referring to the super tiny portion of people here getting banned for swearing at 2K and literally calling for their upheaval? Or are you merely referring to anyone who's continued posting on this forum in a less-than-positive light? I tend to say, it's a forum, so things will be discussed. You may say it's been established that things are wrong with 2K, so why continue posting about it? Then I'd say it's been established that people are going to continue discussing shortcomings, so why continue posting about people posting about shortcomings?

In regards to the game itself, I can understand some features not being brought over. However, I'd hardly call it naive to expect basic functions like create-a-player to be available, an aspect that's be present in NBA basketball games since 1995.

Saving rosters to the hardrive? You mean like hackers do? Yeah, I can see how that might not be a good thing to allow he either the game or the hardware makers.
I think that may be a tough stance. How about: saving rosters to the harddrive? You mean like people who enjoy legally editing dunk slots, attributes, trades, signings, and classic teams without having to worry about server, internet, or loading problems like to do? It's kind of like banning sports cars and defending such a ban by saying, "Corvettes? You mean like speeders drive?" I must wonder, is it necessary to nearly paralyze roster editing simply because there's a microscopic portion of the community who tried to game the system?

I can't comment on VC. I don't mess with it. That was the point of my post.

I don't care about trophies, but shouldn't they be hard to get?
"Hard" is relative. I believe much of the community is saying aspects of the game have crossed the line from "hard" to "incredibly tedious" and/or "unrealistically attainable".

I don't think it childish. I agree with you. I hate that the industry is going this route. I just think it's childish to throw a tantrum over it. Again, I must ask, of whom are you referring when you mention "tantrums" and "childish"? Are you referring to the folks with whom you're interacting? Or are you referring to others who are not currently engaged in this discussion?

Regarding the game itself, I have said "no thanks" to 2K this year, but I've enjoyed the franchise historically and it's an interesting topic to discuss in my free time. As such, I find it worthwhile to discuss and voice my displeasures with the game in a sensible manner while hoping the game some day returns to the mission that drew me inward in the first place.

Further, I do believe it's all worth having our voices heard, in addition to speaking with our pockets. One singular voice may not make a difference, but as each person speaks up, the collective voice becomes stronger.

I'm certainly not referring to those that for normal or even strong disapproval of anything at all. I'm talking about the folks that really fly off the handle. One caveat, however, is that the singling out of EA and/or VC for the implementation of micro-transaction is a little naive. Profit margins for games are shrinking fast, yet the consumer doesn't seem to buy into mechanisms that will keep the price of his game in check. I see many people here, respected people, talking about buying resale copies of the game. That $5 you save is $20 lost the makers of the game. And Gamestop is laughing all the way to the bank. But that's just one example. People want to use disc. But the cost of pressing the disc, printing, packaging, and distribution is lost whereas digital distribution relieves quite a bit of pressure. But whoa, did MS take heat for even suggesting a process that would accelerate it's adoption. I'm not saying any of this is the cure-all for anything. But they are measures that just MAY be needed, but few consumers are willing to step up give these a chance. So now, we have the Angry Birds and Farmvilles of the world to thank. Frankly, it all disgusts me. But I'd be a hypocrite if I said it's wrong for a company to do what it needs to do in the current environment to survive. If I'm that much against it, I don't buy it.

I know it's a long shot, but, can you give us an example of how it's fixed? Have you guys simmed the first season at least and checked out certain guys and there morale?

Most noticeably JJ Redick, Jarrett Jack, Darren Collison, Andrei Kirelenko, etc? Would be awesome if we could get an example of what's in store
