Chris, I don't think you understand our complaints. We're not mad because OA was taken out for next-gen. I didn't expect OA to be in this year.

We are mad because 2K gave us a BROKEN online league mode. The issue is not the ONLINE LEAGUES, the issue is that they DON'T WORK. I don't care about OA this year, I'm fine with ONLINE LEAGUES but the leagues simply DON't WORK.
The commish of the league cannot do anything and has no control. Were you working at 2K during 2K11??? Those leagues had full admin control and customization and it was not an OA it was an ONLINE LEAGUE.

How is it that this mode could regress so much in 3 years? All we are asking for are the BASIC admin tools for leagues. Right now I'm not concerned about OA next year.......I am talking about this year. We cannot play this broken mode THIS YEAR.
    Lineup:
    PG) Gary Payton
    SG) '95-'96 Michael Jordan
    SF) Sapphire Scottie Pippen
    PF) '95-'96 Dennis Rodman
    C) Hakeem Olajuwon

Yes, without those admin/customization tools online leagues can not work fine.

By the way, I would say I prefer 2k11 Online Leagues over 2k13 Online Associations by a mile.

      Cheers!

@Vannwolfhawk, @Swimfunk, @EarvGotti, could not have made a better statement @LD2K, ALL we want is to enjoy the game, LIKE yall gave time in effort to the #ThePARKS, MYPLAYER, MYGM,
@2k put all that many so called hours, WHY YALL didn't do it for #ONLINELEAGUES you had the same amount of time, if each department is working on one thing, totally DISRESPECT the ONLINE PLAYERS, that support and buy the game faithfully just like the other modes

LISTEN TO US, WE WANT TO PLAY THIS YEAR!!!!!!!!!, NXT YR is duin us ONLINE PLAYERS NO GOOD, to wait 10 months for 2k15, This should already be in the GAME, Taking out features, #PRACTICE PLAY MODE, belongs in ONLINE LEAGUES, is wat we do, #WEPLAYSIMBASKETBALL

Give us control, set minutes, ability to the commissioner, so it can set the guidelines of a LEAGUE, wat yall have givin us is USELESS, FIX IT

At the very least, I will compile, as I have been doing, and make the case for you guys.
Is there a time when we'll actually here from yourself or the 2K developers in regards to when this stuff will be fixed or if any changes will be made. I have submitted bugs through the 2k bug website, called 2k support, been in threads adding wishlist items or bug items, tweeted ronnie2k and yourself, and post in every OA thread that I see on this site. I have always done so in a professional manner without an attacking tone. The same response is always "we are looking into it" if there is even a response at all. Then patch one and two would come without anything being addressed. Is anything being done to address THIS YEAR? With OA's for current gen or online leagues for next year?

Also will you all make public these lists that have been created of wishlist items that have been compiled. I am sure there are plenty of users who play these modes who would love to add something to it.

How can you have online leagues without options like quarter length, difficulty, rule settings, being able to resolve games, etc?

I mean honestly there is no point in even offering online leagues without these options. Who in their right mind thought that this was acceptable?

            It really is mind boggling.

2K are going down the route of guiding you into modes that all but force you to "purchase" VC to play the game to a decent standard (who's idea was it that one pile of VC would work over all the modes??). Well the can suck on eggs as far as I'm concerned. When things like micro-transactions get in the way of enjoying games they get left on the store's shelf.

Me being an OA guy I didn't have a problem with how it was implemented in last gen (xbox 360 ps3) only complaint I had was

Ability to sign any player for the league minimum during the off season... It was crazy when players had all superstars on their team it ruined the experience

The inability to advance the off-season and having to wait a day or so to start the next one
The bug where all games were grayed and the OA was no longer playable

More commissioner accessibility like quarter length, sliders, veto trades, fantasy draft ordering.

Ability to customize accessories for players

Bonus thought : instead of players progressing during the off season through mini camps maybe incorporating an XP system (not VC) and leveling up their abilities based on their on court performances and achievements. If I have Andre Drummond a recipient of defensive player of the year, I want to be able to give allotted XP to his defensive abilities some way.

Do away with the League Timer
                  Just advance week by week

Incorporate some of the MyGM features in online association

Ability to edit draft classes OR make it kind of like Madden connected careers draft classes. 30 different classes and some players that are projected later turn out to be good players. (Madden actually had good ideas should take some notes with what they did with that)

As everybody say, comissioner options is a must: quarter length, difficulty, sliders, reset games, force results, amount of regular season and playoff games, etc

Then, for the sim heads will be also nice playbooks that can be customized and saved, practice for playbooks, trades, custom rosters, fantasy draft, etc, etc.

I agree with a lot of the previous comments. It's pretty insulting that we have to give this list considering this isn't the 1st time they have done an online lg. They know what is missing in the lg 2k just refuses to admit it. Will it be fixed in 2k14?? That is the million dollar question. I can only assume the answer is no because if it was in their plans for 2k14 then they would have told us. I mean I am not a dev by any means but how hard can it be to add minutes, sims and booting/replacing owners?? Did they not save their logic from previous lgs? Are they just starting from scratch every yr and simply can't remember how to add those options? I am sure this is not the case but it's the only logical reason why simple stuff was left out. If they spent more than an hour on this mode I would be very surprised.

Can we just get an answer if this list is for 2k14 or 2k15???? I would like to know what we (the consumer) are trying to fix.

I for one need OA. The sole reason I buy Madden is for their online connected careers and I am not disappointed.

Ronnie has always come off as....well...less than likeable. Perhaps it's because he lacks any sort of charisma, or perhaps it's the canned, patronizing, robotic responses. Either way, disappointing retorts to the questions that were posed. The "we're listening," and "looking into it," game is becoming rather grating, no? It is the same, exact song and dance year after year, installment after installment. When, exactly, do you say enough is enough and actually produce and address the issue instead of simply paying lip-service to it?

Most likely they are moving forward with Online Associations next year and into the future which is great. But that's not the issue I have. I know they are getting the framework ready for OAs in the future which is fine..........but i'm concerned about this online league mode THIS YEAR.

We are not asking for anything extravagant here, just the BASIC admin tools to properly run a league. How is leaving us with a BROKEN online league mode setting the framework for leagues/associations in the future????????

                              I don't understand.

Just seen LD2K post here and wanted to register (i'm an reader for all 2k-related things since a long time) to give out my thoughts

As an avid OL/OA player since 2k6 (from France !), if you just make one of the mode (or both ! only one can dream...) playable and customizable, I and my fellow friends would be very happy.

For OL in future iterations, I would say we need a league website just like NBA2K11 (i fondly remember the websites from 2k6/2k11, pretty revolutionary at the time, i would have never thought that 2013 would be such a setback from 2006).

If you bring back OA, please allow the commissioner to validate trades. The system of waiting 24+ hours to validate a trade was a bad idea.

An option to play with our own roster would be a plus, if only it works, of course (I tried for the 2k14 OL but it has never worked so far)

And if you can fix the OL for 2k14, it would be appreciated...
