I mentioned this on twitter but did the 2k11 team get outsourced or something? I think they were outsourced by Devry graduates or Ronnie's cousins man, it's insane how much online has regressed since the 2k11 days. All we want is the same thing we had in 2k11 I don't understand how that is so hard to deliver. Same with crew as well.

Sad to hear. We just started our league and the roster update effects the league and doesn't allow you to manage the full team/roster. Additionally after reading a few post one of our members accidentally exited the league now no games results are being recorded. The league is now dead. We have been running this league for years now it is all crap. We had to come to grips with all the deleted features of the league now this. Just crazy!Comment

I am gathering feedback from OA veterans who are putting together comprehensive feedback and wishlists. Simple complaints don't help me get valuable information to the dev's. Please use this thread to send or compile any thoughts you have on the future to make this feature more enjoyable for you.
At the very least, I will compile, as I have been doing, and make the case for you guys.

When a real nba game is 48 minutes and the only option you get in an nba sim league is 24 min then you already know its not a priority.
I am an old dude and I have accepted that 2k is focused on being a fantasy life video game right now. The devs have the skill to make a fundamentally sound basketball game with sim league options and features if they want to, but that ain't a priority right now.
Lack of Online League options. 3 year old player ratings and tendencies. Legacy bugs. They could all "probably" be fixed in a patch. Not a priority.
Changing Josh smith's 86 mid range not a priority over him making a rookie put on a red clown nose for a press conference.
Def settings not a priority over making a my player beef with his rival in the tunnell of a rookie game.
Off handed shot rating (since they have off hand dribbling) not a priority over being able to create your own tennis shoes.
Priorities have changed for 2k and online leagues is low on the totem pole. That's why they added my gm and left us with no viable online league option.
I don't expect any improvement this year.Psn: Alabamarob

Their focus right now is this recent RPG element to sport games. Like any company they're going to put more priority to new or infrequent customers. They want these kids that used to play live and are now catering to them.
Even if they implement OA next year we all know its going to be bug ridden again. Patches will focus on pointless player accessory. Dont get why those clowns dont just ask for more player customization rather than headbands/shoes. If there is no fix for OL im not buying this for the next 2 years enough is enough.Comment

I played Association Offline for many years. Not OA as much.I am gathering feedback from OA veterans who are putting together comprehensive feedback and wishlists. Simple complaints don't help me get valuable information to the dev's. Please use this thread to send or compile any thoughts you have on the future to make this feature more enjoyable for you.
At the very least, I will compile, as I have been doing, and make the case for you guys.
But I have an idea worth sharing, I think.
In 2K15 version, in addition to adding those favorite missing OA features from 2K11 that others have already mentioned, I have an idea for something that might enhance the ‘replay value’ and provide motivation for playing ‘Association Mode’.
THE GAMES... ARE THE STORIES WE TELL
Association Gamers begin to ‘tell their own story’ by selecting a team, or creating-a-payer… and hitting the court, year after year.
But ‘Highlights’ and ‘Plays of the Day’ help tell the story...... of a SINGLE Game.
So what if 2K could figure out a clever & compelling way to ‘tell the story’ of Consecutive Seasons, or a career played in any Association Mode?
Not just with cut screen animations + RPG elements.
And not just with a series of highlights stitched together.
Instead with a ‘virtual Sports Album’? so to speak.
Or a ‘Team Timeline’?
TEAM TIMELINES
Team Timelines are a month-by-month 'snapshot' of the gamer's whole Association season. Each & Every season. Timeline Assets should be customizable. And Shareable.
Each timeline includes any combination of in-game assets, like:- Highlight Footage (allow us to choose which clips to add to the album)
- In-game screenshots of Key Players, or Big Plays (bring back that ‘Ken Burns’ effect from 2K11!!)
- League / or Individual Player Season stats
- Shot charts
- Scouting reports
- Chart of My ‘Toughest’ Matchups / or ‘Toughest’ Teams in the League (with relevant stats)
- Stats Lines from Key Games
- 2K Trophies earned
- NBA Awards won
- Etc., etc
Presented in a ‘Timeline’ layout that you can Save, Review, or publish to your favorite social network & share with your friends.
How it works, in a nutshell…
- Have the CPU auto-generate a handful of milestones every month, for a whole Season.
- Assign trophies & sizable VC rewards to every milestone.
- Allow Players to customize various segments/or assets of the Timeline.
- i.e. Swap screenshots, or highlights, or customize matchup charts, or whatever.
- Players can check out / share their progress with their friends, at any time.
————————————————
I created some UI screens, to help describe the concept a bit better.
1. Start Screen
Self-explanatory

————————————————
2. Choose Association Mode
Online & Multi-Season (Offline) Modes

————————————————
3. Select ‘Team Timeline’
Allows the User to select a team , then start new season, or continue from any point within multiple seasons, (like the way Association mode used to work).

————————————————
4. Choose A Season
Allows the User to enter any point within multiple seasons.

————————————————
5. Dynamic Team Goals
The CPU auto-generates the monthly team milestones. (or allow User to customize them also).
These monthly milestones could include a mix of development drills, performance objectives & random fun facts, or general stats.

————————————————
6. Review My Accomplishments
Sit back and see what you accomplished, month after month. Year after Year.
- A slideshow will mix still & video footage together, in full screen mode)
- 2K Beats provides the soundtrack to your success.

————————————————
7. Play Highlights of the WHOLE Season. (Not just 1 game)
Watch individual clips, or play ‘em all.
2K would figure out what the time limit is for the timeline highlight reel. (10 minutes? 15 minutes?)

By the end of each season, you should have something like this…
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/wlmTWVnm2xE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Now imagine if you played like 5 Association seasons in a row, you could watch all highlights (back-to-back) like a mini-movie.
————————————————
8. Adding new Highlights
2K would have to figure out how to use the Freefly Camera controls to add video footage, or stills to the team timeline.

————————————————
9. Share across Social Networks
2k Would have to figure out how to share aassets across Facebook, Twitter, et al.
————————————————
10. Monetization
- Corporate Sponsorship?
- Sell Video Ads?
- Cloud Storage?
- Integrate VC?
I dunno. This was as far as I got.
This is just a starting point, but 2k would have to figure out how to monetize content, or charge VC, or whatever, et al.
————————————————
Just some ideas I had.
Thought I would share 'em.
