I found a solution. When you're stuck at the black screen, press the PS button on your controller to go to the dashboard. Select Settings>Network>Test Connection. Close and then go back to the game and you will see the cinematic.

Quite simply, the game has simply stopped working almost entirely. 4 out of 5 times I start the game, I'm greeted with the black screen described above. On the off chance the game does start, NBA Today does not work. I cannot get into MyTeam. When I play a Quick Game, it crashes during the team selection or often picks a different team entirely than the one I chose. Was working fine 4 days ago, has steadily gotten worse since. I'm at a loss for words. I paid 60 bucks out of my pocket for this game and would like to play it.

Every time I try to select an update Jersey (redzone Miami, christmas jerseys) etc the game screen freezes with the music still playing. Similarly none of the All star weekend features will open. This started occurring after patch 4, any of the content from that patch will not load but rather crash my game.

Anybody else have this issue, it's so annoying tbh

Today while attempting to play a MyGM game, I have successfully gotten in to play once in 5 attempts. Wow that's bad.

I just bought my Xbox One and heard about issues with the game but didn't realize just how bad it actually was. It might be going back to the store for FIFA or Madden.

When I try and load the game I'm greeted by the black screen. This is frustrating me. Also, when the game does fire up I get no connection to the 2k server and can't even get a roster update. Smh.

Is anyone having a problem with NBA Today on PS4? I go to quick game to load the 2K rosters but in NBA Today they reset to the 1st roster! C'mon 2K.

Haven't had an One for a month. Started a mygm and simmed passed the first season. Crashes everytime at the end of first finals. I see 2k is still a waste of time.

Anybody else having a problem recently with created rosters not working? Been trying to make a roster for the past few days, every time after I upload it reverts to out of the box roster with players wearing black T-Shirts and sweatpants.. Highly annoying.

SPECIFIC DETAILS:
Up until March 10th, 2014 I have had ZERO problems with MyTeam on my new profile.

I decided it was finally time to reinstall my NBA 2k14 because of some other not-so-serious issues (Jimmer Fredette was invisible, unable to use 00'-01' 76ers, MyGM interviews crashed my game).

After an overnight download and install (I own it digitally) I proceed to hop into a Domination game in MyTeam. However, once I set my lineup and matchups as usual, it just got stuck on "Loading."

Then a blue bar came up and encased the "Loading" text and filled up to about 25% and just stopped. I was forced to restart the game to only find this happen every time now...

ANYTHING ELSE:
- My NBA 2K14 is DIGITALLY DOWNLOADED
- I'VE HAD THIS PROBLEM BEFORE; I had this problem on my main Gamertag back late Dec./early Jan. I just decided to make an new profile and it all worked fine til now. I would be devastated if my MyTeam is corrupted. I have Diamond LeBron (meaning I've put a LOT of time and money into my current team).

PLEASE HELP! I'm reinstalling again as I type this.
