The Official Next Gen NBA 2K15:2K Bring The REAL Crew Mode

While I get where everyone is coming from with 2k being part fantasy and myplayer taking on rpg elements, but until the nba starts including women in the league,

The D-League, or the NBA Draft I think its a no-brainer

To keep the game as is. Now maybe for blacktop mode it

Would be ok to tinker with the gender. I just don't see

how this can be such a "big" debate when we have a game mode that has been reveered as "the most fun and competitive mode is sports gaming history".



I understand where women and guys who want to play as women ballers, but umm we have more pressing issues as hardcore 2K gamers:



Bringing Crew mode back

Upgrade The association for all my offline guys

Bring control of defense back as Opposed to POE

Save settings and playbooks

Saves on local hdd instead of on servers

Get rid of VC in everymode

Get rid of all the sliding on defense.

Bring back isomotion dribbling

Make the steal button actually work with worthy defenders

Its a video game, I personally don't mind the women, but I get why it's a big deal. It should be at least something that applies to one player (your myPlayer,) and I don't get why anyone would be mad about that.

Everything on your hardcore list is why you see more of the veteran roster makers stay here on current (previous) gen/PC.

I think this is more a problem of 2K trying to evolve what is happening in the industry (cloud saving , micro-transactions, etc.) too quickly, as it should be an option for say, myTeam, but should not hinder the offline experience, and then slowly build up. Even NBA Live's UT looks more enjoyable than myTeam. But the sliding on d is more on animation, which they have enough time to work on. And server consistency + user creation is a BIG thing especially here on OS/NLSC, it gives the game an extended life with mods/user generated stuff.

Saw this in an other thread in this forum.
I figured this woud definitely be a feature myplayer/my career could use moving forward.

I know that PS Move & Kinekt are kind of cheesy, but still, i feel the facial recognition technology and the voice recognition technology should be taken
advantage of NOW more than ever.

Kinect is still pretty much a gimmick in my eyes. Capturing your face isn't really a new thing, even in sports games you've had the ability to put your face to FIFA for years just by going to EA's website and uploading some pictures. We've also had microphones in our computers for decades and nobody has yet figured out a good way to use voice recognition that didn't take longer than actually typing/using a controller.

Some info about tech that would enable doing what kinect does with any camera and using gopro for facial motion capture.

But crew has been basically talked to death. There's nobody against it except the dev team.

After having played with LD2K & seeing LD2K & Ronnie 2K's playstyle from watching them in other Park games... their play style is suited for The Park, I could NOT see them enjoying a Crew mode. By the way they play, they are NOT 'Crew' guys... I don't see them promoting a game mode that they 'hate' or would feel embarrassed playing. So IMHO, as long as they are at 2K we will NEVER see crew ever again.. (at least not the 'REAL' crew.)

That's because they play that Arcade style...it's a damn shame.

I wish I would've gotten into Crew back when it was in the game, I'd love to be on a crew and play some real basketball with others. Hoping we get it but doubt it

I'm one of the, if not the, most competitive people here. I've been pushing for esports, I've been involved with helping out with the Virgin Gaming/MLG tournament and Finals. I'm just craving getting the competitive gaming angle really kick started.

Don't confuse live-streaming and playing a casual style with Ronnie2K as my play style. A lot different than when we're at home and on the couch. The great thing about observing is getting out there, watching players behavior, chatting with fans on their feedback and most importantly, understanding where we grow. Also, those videos were during a game where I was in and out of the game due to emails flying in. Weird, I know.

I am excited for what the future holds. And as always, we see the voice of our fans and relay that sentiment to the dev. team.

With Next Gen here, shouldn't be no reason we don't have a even better Crew mode from 2K11 and a park (PickUp games). We need both. Mainly to recruit players for the crew.

Yeah, I think Parks should be in the game, but it should be tweaked... extensively. I also think that it should be a complements mode... & MyCareer & MyCrew should be equally central to the MyPlayer experience..

With MyPlayer being 2ks foundation mode and the park being unplayable I dont get how Crew isnt a top priority.

Obviously all the offline modes such as MyGM and MyPlayer need to be perfected but if they plan on using MyPlayer as the main selling point Crew has to be added.

I personally played up to the allstar break on MyPlayer then went to check out the park and found it so pointless I couldnt even make it through a game. Havent touched MyPlayer or The Park since. Doesnt make sense to me that they invest so much into MyPlayer then provide a complementary mode that is unplayable for most. Bring back the old Crew mode and they have a real reason for people to play MyPlayer

Also we all known VC isnt going anywhere but if 2k really wants to profit off it the Original Crew would be the mode to do so.

Hate to say it but the vast majority of people will spend that $20-$30 right out of the box to get their player a 99 and thats fine with me. Ive always found that the people who did have hacked players or did just buy the VC are the easiest to beat becuase they just run around shooting 3s and play no D so I have no problem with allowing this because it affects me in no way.

IMO I dont see anyone spending that $25 just to play The Park but if 2k did add Crew mode itll be a huge seller for the VC because of the competitive aspect as well as the longevity in it

I know 2K won't do it but VC needs to be secondary. Have some respect for your product. They COMPLETELY erased Crew because of the hackers, then allowed people to purchase VC. Basically just allowing the hackers to get 99 overalls again, instead having to pay for it. At least that's the way I see it, just a big contradiction: how is it not okay to hack, but perfectly fine to buy VC and get a 99? I mean the answer from 2K is they're getting money in their pockets, but from guys that don't spend that extra money it's still just people gaining an upper-hand they don't deserve.

If Crew was in-depth, allow VC to buy a secondary currency while bringing back Skill Points for your My Players. Obviously you gain Skill Points from playing My Career, and also blacktop games, and Crew games. We could get a secondary VC bonus that allows us to still buy animations, clothes, jewelry, shoes, taunts, etc...so you could still purchase VC for that and My Team while keeping the integrity and competitive nature of Crew.

And it's obvious 2K knows people are sick of VC for everything, but seeing as how they still want it in the game I guess they could use VC for upgrading stadiums and jerseys in Crew, stuff like that.

Whatever happened to the 2k Community when we used to have crew mode around and we could see every crew ever made, your crew stats, and for every game you played, how many points, assists, steals, blocks, etc that you and whoever you played with and against posted? That was such a cool thing to have for us in 2k11. Can we see this comeback for 2k15 if we bring back the old crew mode? we even had a top 10 game highlight. Now we just have www.nba2k.com and that site is so inaccurate with stats.
