Re: Big free agents signing with teams they wouldn't
It's a little time consuming, but what I did before playing the first game of MYGM to prevent Melo/Lebron/Kobe from leaving their current team & signing with teams they would never sign with is trade players with huge contracts to teams like Utah or any other "low" profile team with cap space. Ex. Try to move A. Stoudemire to Utah or A. Bargnani to the Magic. At the end of the season they won't have enough cap space to sign Melo/Lebron/Kobe, they usually resign with their current team. I hate the fact that 2k do not allow edited contracts to transfer over to MyGM.Twitter: @TyroneisMaximus

Re: Big free agents signing with teams they wouldn't
Like I said before, I don't even necessarily want 30 team control. Just give me the option to do things like veto (or reverse) trades, edit players and a manual injury system and I'll be happier than a pig in slop.
For me though another one of the main things that I miss from CG is the ability to have close to realistic draft picks. To me there's nothing worse than starting with the Pelicans or Nets and having those picks that they shouldn't have. Even though all other sports games that I play have a realistic draft picks 2k continues to drop the ball on this. Why is it? It has to be because casuals would complain, I guess? Heck, even if they do add it in at the start of the season next year, I have little to no faith in them actually keeping up with it throughout the season. The only option for someone who wants to keep draft picks realistic is more control. I'm hoping that 2k realizes this before it's too late.

Dude, seriously? Isnt it apparent after all these posts in every thread that people don't want the CPU making dumb illogical decisions. Why should we be content with all the nonsensical transactions that occur in myGM and just be cool with it because its what the CPU is programmed to do? That doesnt make sense.Comment

Re: Big free agents signing with teams they wouldn't
I have nothing against options. It just doesn't make sense for someone to have control of every team in a more focused on one GM.
Also, I don't believe in manufacturing teams, editing rosters of teams you don't control, etc, because it's not your team. What would you want to do next, control both teams in each game because you feel the cpu is making bad decisions? Where does it end?Comment

Re: Big free agents signing with teams they wouldn't
There are so many other "options" to help teams out that don't involve you having to cheat. You can neglect to sign certain free agents, trade other teams your best players for their worse if you don't need them, sign your players for short term deals so that others can pick them up.
For instance, I traded for Isiah Thomas, didn't like him, but after a year his overall was an 88, so I gave him to the mavs for Calderon.
Also I only resigned wade for 3 years with a player option, and intend on sending him to another team, cutting him or letting him expire when the time comes, because he is slowly becoming not neededComment

RB, you are consistent with your stance to tell others how to play/enjoy the game. You say they don't make sense-
Well, It doesn't make sense to play the games in mygm mode-
That is cheating - and controlling all of your players in a game-cheating
setting rotations for your team as GM? - cheating,
hopefully 2k eliminates all this cheating for you next game.
they should take away all those frivolous ways to experience the game so they can make us all play the game without all the cheating.Comment

Re: Big free agents signing with teams they wouldn't
What are you talking about? Everyone is clearly saying that they want to keep the CPU from acting a fool. The trade/personnel logic sucks in the game so we dont want it fully dictating every personnel move in the game. What actions do people have to defend? That makes no sense. Are you seriously like reading everyones posts dude because it doesnt seem like you comprehend whats going on.Comment

Im convinced this guy isnt serious. Like not a single person on operation sports agrees with your view on the CPU logic, VC implementation or whatever myGM nonsense youre talking about. You have to be either trolling or you own the Knicks If you really see roster moves working out this ridiculously. Im like pretty sure you have to be James Dolan dude.Comment

Red Bull is bordering on trolling at this point, I think it's time for the mods to at least give him a warning.Comment
