Didn't see a thread already, but with him coaching can he still be an announcer in the game? Wondering if this means some new voice talent for this season

I rather have Steve Kerr banned for life as NBA2K announcer...he's the most boring commentator EVER!! I rather have an unknown comedian commenting the game entertaining me while I play the game than Steve Kerr, who is constantly annoying with the serious tone.

Lol at the bad Kerr comment. One of the best analysts out there. Really smart guy that always has good input. Him and Marv are my personal favorite team. I like him in 2k, too. Adds a realistic feel to the commentary.
I still think Hubie would be the best replacement. Although, people would probably find him more boring than Kerr.

I heard Mark Jackson is gonna be back announcing (for now). I'm sure he'll get another coaching job this year but if he doesn't, it would be awesome to have him in the game.

Also, how can ANYONE hate Steve Kerr and thing he's boring? Are you serious?

He IS the color commentator. The color guy = analyst. The other guy (Marv Albert, Kevin Harlan etc.. = play-by-play). Next time on Sports Watching Terminology 101, we'll cover the difference between a studio anchor and a sideline reporter.

Since Mark is part of the espn broadcasting team, if we were to hear him in a game, it would most likely be NBA live.
Hopefully, 2k can find someone to come in and join. I thought the commentary was lacking when it was just Harlan and Kellogg.

If 2K got JVG or MJax it'd be amazing.

Imagine after hitting a big shot you hear Jackson say "Hand down, man down!"

Or JVG's incessant ramblings about everything.

It'd really bring some life back into the game's commentary.

I guarantee it will be Chris Webber or Reggie Miller, I heard they will put Reggie Millers team and let him replace Steve Kerr

You guys need to realize that NBA Live has Breen and JVG so there's no chance that 2k will get either of them. And now that Mark is back in the booth, he will most likely return to Live as well. I think those will be the only guys off limits.

Really? I think Webber is very insightful and I really like listening to him.

I can't stand Reggie Miller, I really hope he doesn't make it in the game. Clark Kellogg really focuses primarily on College Basketball so I would be fine if he wasn't in it either.

Marv would be awesome. DJ_Solis is right, JVG and Jackson are signed with ESPN so they are off limits, unfortunately.
