Mmmm k is not an answer. Now, let's try this again.
What has the dev team done to fix the 1-3-1 Defense? Did you guys make it realistic or just removed it from 2K in general?
What has 2K Sports done to fix online leagues? Also, a lot of people want the 2K11 Version of Online Leagues, not what you guys had in Online Association. What is your response to that?
Will that said mode be called "MyGM Online" or similar to those terms? Will VC be allowed to be used within the mode to give you a so-called advantage?
What will MyTeam be like? Will it be fun, or all about Pokemon cards with Kobe Bryant or Earl Boykins starting at Centre?

He's obviously not going to reveal everything right now! Just calm down and wait for them to start dropping info. When has Earl Boykins ever started at center in a my team game? U guys over exaggerate sometimes, it's starting to make me feel bad for some the people who work at 2K.

Today is july 22nd. the game comes out october 7th. that gives us like 2 months and 2 weeks. minus the time the game becomes gold thats like a Month and 2 weeks. normally other games would have been reveling **** A LONG TIME AGO. to get its fanbase hyped up. hell even EA, YES THE HATED EA, reveals news about their game months before release. yet we always find ways to set them up the river, but 2k gets a pass for staying Tight lipped?
normally 2k reveals stuff from E3 onwards, but we got NOTHING. hell the only thing i know about this game is that pharrell is on the soundtrack/ KD is on the cover and Vc is back. why are we giving 2k a Pass for staying tight lipped about what is coming our way in a few months. after this train wreck called 2k14, which plays like a horrible BBALL game IMHO, i think all fans have a right to know what they might be dropping 60 bucks for in advance.

I hope 2K takes that automatic shot contest nonsense out of the game.
You hold Intense-D and the defender comes flying at you with their hands raised out with no regard for momentum. Seriously?
No wonder the 1-3-1 is so overpowered. These bums are allowed to run around the court like headless chickens ramming into defenders because they know fouls on jumpshooters are rarely called.
The worst is when you have someone flying at you and you have an open lane to drive but they get bailed out with that blocking foul call where your opponent falls on top of you lol.
I was playing a 2K11 game today and they had none of these problems. You actually had to contest shots yourself and if you came flying at me trying to contest shots I could blow by you or jump into you and draw a shooting foul and collect my free throws.Comment

I hope they really fix 7ft rebounding animations and A- free throws being a super low percentage. They need to just scratch 2k14 and start all over cause they really messed it up this yearComment

The defense still needs a lot of work yet (i.e. change of direction animations, contact animations, and poor defense inside the paint along with too many arbitrary fouls), but I completely agree with you on the automatic shot contest thing going too far.
I prefer the way it was in 2k11 as well. In order to contest and block shots it was up to the user to actually have to hit the jump button themselves and was much more about timing and skill. If you didn't jump yourself, your defender would simply put a hand up if you were close enough to the shooter, but they didn't jump to contest and block shots for you automatically like it does now. To contest and block shots it should definetly be on the user to have to hit the jump button themselves, the game shouldn't be holding people's hand that much and doing it for them I don't believe.
The blocking and contesting needs to be more skill based and like you said if someones overly aggressive jumping on defense the ball handler should be able to either run by you without getting caught up in contact animations or have the ability to draw some shooting fouls.Last edited by lockdownD; 07-23-2014, 04:17 AM.Comment

In the streaming of yesterday, Ronnie and Chris talked about The Crew and how the development team have considered to implement it in some way in The Park because they knew about the demand of this mode in the community. They said nothing about online associations and the demand that also exist of it. That worries me, because without this mode the game loses the meaning for me. I'm an online player, but I like to play sim, with custom sliders, custom playbooks, etc.
If this year I hadn't won in a tournament/promotion act the nba2k14 + a playstation4, probably I wouldn't have bought the game (nor the console) because of the lack of online leagues/associations, that's the reality. In the past, I have enjoyed 2k11 online leagues and 2k13 online associations during all their corresponding year, but with next gen 2k14 it has been impossible.
That being said, I understand that they will be realising info during August/September. But I also remember that the last year they said nothing about Online Associations during the promotion period -nor answered any question about them in twiter -, and that was because they didn't implemented them properly - they were unplayable, practically non-existent ( 0 custmomization, no sliders, no quarter length, etc ) -. Right now, I expect the worst about OA.
PD: Don't misunderstand me, I like the game although it has its flaws. These flaws can be tweaked with the sliders, but only in some offline modes. Online, without sliders, is too arcade. Custom playbooks and to be able to use them online (or in any other mode) is another thing they took out from the game since 2k9 (I think) and that feature is a must for many 'sim heads' like me.
2k has to prove again that they are on the same page with the sim ballers, I feel their approach lately has been more and more focused on the casual fans, and I don't have a problem with it as long as they keep the features we loved...
Why we can not live together?
Speaking just about online modes, I think 2k15 should have more casuals oriented modes (My Park for instance) but also more Sim oriented modes like a complete return of customizable (sliders, custom rosters, trades, commisioner tools, etc.) leagues/associations...

Actually, what 2k does in terms of revealing information is pretty smart. They wait until the last minute, then bum rush you with information. People then get so hyped up about the game they buy it without really thinking about it.
If they release information too soon, people will have more time to think about their purchase. By the time the release date comes, their excitement has died down and they are less likely to buy the game.Comment
