How many games do you play per year Jazzman? Everytime I read your posts I want to start such a project too but just can't figure a way out how much games to simulate.

Normally I'm a 82 games guy, but I never really play more then 1 season that way.

I use him at SF he's too slow at pg plus it feels like cheating to have him guarded by a 6'1 pg I'd post and score whenever.

I do use him as a primary ball handler and run a ton of offense through him to be a decision maker and I get great results.

I'm doing 82 games a season, but I'll play about 10 or 15 or so. That's kinda how I'm flying through these seasons. I use simcast for the others.

I kinda like seeing how the league plays out on its own a little bit after I make all of the moves for every team.

I still play each Utah playoff game, though. Although this season I've played a couple of games with other teams, like Philly, Atlanta, and Minnesota.

Just lost Game 4 to the Thunder 98 to 96... Gotta go back to OKC now and try and finish the series, as I'm up 3-1.

Durant was just too much to handle. He dropped 35, 9, and 3. Hayward wasn't far behind him, going for 31, 9, and 2.

Exum had 24 points, 5 boards, and 15 assists, along with 4 steals. Just incredibly fun to play with.

Not to piggyback your comment but I'm using anderson at sg with gallinari at sf and man its amazing. Having two ball handlers in the starting lineup. We have won the last 4 games since the trade against Cavs and thunder. Can't remember the other two because I'm at work going off memory. I use him as my lock down defender and he played phenomenal against LeBron and kd. And dropped 30 and 23 on them in the process.
I'm beyond satisfied with the trade.

Just completed my first off season with Detroit.

                Staff Signing
The Pistons first off season move was a surprising one. They fired Stan Van Gundy and replaced him with Jeff Hornacek, who then hired Hall of Famer Ray Allen as his assistant. There were rumblings that Eric Bledsoe and others weren't happy with the stagnant offense so they brought in someone who's specialty is offense and arguably the greatest shooter of all time. It also doesn't hurt that he and Eric Bledsoe are familiar with one another. Hornacek was fired by the Phoenix Suns at the All-Star break and fired again at the end by the 76ers at the end of the season. Questionable move by Detroit?

                Notable Staff Signings

-Indiana Pacers fired Frank Vogel, hired Lucas Lucas
-Utah Jazz fire Quin Snyder, hire Frank Vogel
-76ers fire Jeff Hornacek, hire Oliver Gordon

                Team/Player Options
Kentavious Caldwell-Pope had his team option exercised after showing improvement averaging 9.2 Points, 2.3 Rebounds and 2.7 Assists while upping his shooting percentages from the field, behind the arc, and the free throw line.

                NBA Draft
We made a move early by trading the 11th pick, 2016 and 2017 1st Round Picks to Utah for Chris Valentine.
We then sent our 2018 1st Round Pick to Toronto for the 20th Pick.
We also got rid of Cartier Martin and our 2017 2nd Round Pick for two 2nd Round Picks from the Rockets.

                Notable Draft-Day Trades
-Pelicans trade Tyreke Evans/Eric Gordon to Pacers for 3rd Pick and Ian Mahinmi
-Suns/Trail Blazers swap 1st Round Picks and Danny Granger/Chris Kaman

                Free Agency

The Pistons had their eye on a few key agents like Draymond Green, but before they could get there they had a few guys of their own they needed to lock up. Andre Drummond and Reggie Jackson are restricted free agents, but All-Star Greg Monroe is free to go as he pleases. Luckily we were able to retain all three guys.
Greg Monroe signed a 4yr/$34.42M deal.
Andre Drummond signed a 5yr/$78.53M deal.
Joel Anthony signed a 1yr/$1.02M deal.
Reggie Jackson accepted a $3.21M qualifying offer after testing his value on the open market.

                Notable Re-Signings
                -Cavaliers re-sign LeBron James (3yrs/$69.89M)
                -Pelicans re-sign Anthony Davis (4yrs/$64.71M)
                -Heat re-sign Dwayne Wade (3yrs/$58.30M)
-Trail Blazers re-sign Damian Lillard (5yrs/$69.51M)
                -Spurs re-sign Tim Duncan (1yr, $5.55M)
                -Spurs re-sign Kawhi Leonard (4yrs, $39.06M)
                -Wizard re-sign Bradley Beal (5yrs, $65.15M)
                -Bulls re-sign Jimmy Butler (5yrs, $38.01M)
                -Lakers re-sign Jordan Hill (3yrs, $8.00M)

Once the market opened up the Pistons were said to have had their eye on Draymond Green, but this was before Head Coach/General Manager Stan Van Gundy was fired and Owner Davon Brown took over as GM. The did pry a restricted free agent away from the Warriors, but it wasn't the Saginaw, Michigan native Draymond Green.
The Detroit Pistons signed the younger, more athletic small forward Harrison Barnes to a 3yr/$38.15M deal to solidify their roster.

                Notable Free Agent Signings
-Trail Blazers sign Al Jefferson (4yrs/$89.22M)
                -Pelicans sign Monta Ellis (3yrs/$60.33)
                -Knicks sign Paul Millsap (3yrs/$50.64M)
                -Spurs sign Marc Gasol (3yrs/$70.63M)
                -Knicks sign Wesley Matthews (3yrs/32.08M)
                -Raptors sign DeMarre Carroll (3yrs/$14.86M)
                -Clippers sign Khris Middleton (3yrs/$21.31M)
                -Jazz sign Enes Kanter (3yrs/$31.45M)
                -Mavericks re-sign Rajon Rondo (4yrs/$61.59M)
                -Bulls sign Patrick Beverley (3yrs/$12.04M)
                -Suns re-sign Brandon Knight (3yrs/$25.48M)
                -Warriors re-sign Draymond Green (3yrs/$13.97M)
                -Raptors sign Kevin Love (4yrs/$112.22M)
                -Grizzlies sign Larry Sanders (3yrs/$28.93M)
                -Lakers sign Wilson Chandler (3yrs/$27.82M)
                -Hawks sign Omer Asik (3yrs/$30.49M)

The deed is done! How do you rate the "Bad Boys" off season?

Finished off the Thunder in Game 5, 98 to 80. Exum held Westbrook to 11 points off of 3-10 shooting. Durant had 21 and 11, and Belinelli had 12 and 7, but it wasn't enough.

Favors finished with 18 and 10, Gobert and 14 and 13 with 2 blocks, Hayward had 15, 5 boards, 3 assists, 6 steals, and a block. Exum had 7 assists and 6 steals. Loving this defense right now.

I'm taking on the 6th seeded Pelicans in Round 2. New Orleans beat Houston in 5 games behind Davis's monster numbers. Their lineup:

                  PG: Jrue Holiday (85)
                  SG: Justin Holiday (76)
                  SF: Jamie Guerrero (70)
                  PF: Anthony Davis (98)
                  C: Derrick Rivers (72)
                  6th: Tyrese Evans (82)

Pretty surprised they beat Houston in such convincing fashion, actually. I should be able to handle them, but AD is going to be a tough cover.

5th seed Minnesota swept the 4th seed Warriors. Cousins and Wiggins were too much, and the Wolves defense held GS to under 91 points in each game. They look tough. This was Coach Kevin Garnett ' s first playoff series win in his coaching career.

1 seeded Portland took out Dallas in 5 games. Lillard was a monster and averaged 27 and 8 for the series.

                  ----------

Out East, 1st seeded Philly had some problems with the Hornets, but they took care of them in 6 games. A bunch of gritty defensive battles in that series.

5th seeded Indiana (who made it to the Finals last year as the 7th seed) took out the 4th seeded Hawks in 6 games. One of the games took 4 overtime periods, where the final score was Atlanta 140 to 139. George Hill led Indy in scoring with 20 a night. Atlanta got promising production out of their young guns.

Chicago nearly swept Brooklyn after getting swept last season by Indiana. Head Coach Kobe Bryant won his first playoff series as a coach.

And finally, Cleveland beat the Bucks in 6 games. Milwaukee just can't get over the 1st round hump, think they gotta ship out one of Giannis, Parker, or Middleton and get a rim protector to pair with Adrian Cook down low.

We are 5-0 since the trade. Kyle anderson has brought a much needed boost and versatility that we didn't have before. Chandler and gallinari are not the playmakers that anderson is.

But I'm wondering fellas should I trade faried for mason or miles plumlee I like both their games and think either would flourish in our uptempo style of play.

Mason is legit, miles is way worse then Faried though.

You have Nurkic though why do you want another center to trade your starting PF?

I want more shot blocking. So far so good though as I'm playing I'm thinking up all these different trade scenarios that would make us better. But as of.now we are good I like what we have. No one matches farieds motor or hustle at the 4 spot.

I've got Miles as my backup Center, and he does what I need. I ask for zero offense from him, but he gets rebounds, and plays good D down low. My starter is a rookie who averages 16ppg in like 22mpg, so I don't need much offensively from Plumlee.

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread

40-30 standing now with my Hornets mygm, currently in 7th seed in the west, 0.5 games behind the pacers for the 6th. we are trying to move to 6th seed to matchup against the hawks instead of the cavs who is now in 2nd. Kemba's averaging 17.8pts and 8.0 asst while aljeff 17pts and 7reb.

I only made 1 small move the whole season and will rely with the improvements of hornets young core. I am not sure if kemba is our future and if aljeff will opt in on his option in the offseason but I am looking forward to progress with vonleh, hairston, kemba, henderson and MKG (even lance as his potential is so high in 2k). I might also improve my coaching staff and look for available ones in the offseason

Only made a trade with maxiel, our 2015 and 2016 1st pick for 2015 and 2017 picks of Jazz and evans. Hoping we get a lottery for the next season or possibly giving up my Jazz pick for higher one or a star. I still havent made up my mind on who will be our franchise player, but for now I think it is Kemba.

Cant wait to finish this season and hopefully surprise some teams in the playoffs.

                              Lineup:
C Biyombo (defense is so good if he is at C)
PF Alljeff (great post but lack interior D)
                              SF MKG (great defender)
