Is there any way to start a myleague without picking a team? I kinda wanna make one just for watching, i want every team to trade, draft etc. But since i seem to have to pick a team i need to trade, draft etc for it. So is there any way to start a myleague without picking a team?

Honestly, Muhammad is much more deserving of starting/minutes than Wiggins so far. Muhammad's been one of the few bright spots this year while Wiggins really hasn't done much.
What I find more interesting is building around LaVine, especially at PG. He's really only playing PG for the Wolves out of necessity, much more of a scoring guard.Comment

EH, Muhammad is playing pretty well for them but their numbers are pretty close. Wiggins has really been figuring it out lately. I wouldn't start Muhammad over him in RL or 2K.Honestly, Muhammad is much more deserving of starting/minutes than Wiggins so far. Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Currently sitting at 19-13 on New Years Day with my Pelicans. Things were looking pretty bleak after losing Tyreke for 4-6 months, then finishing November 8-7. We also dropped our first two game of December. However, after that the team came together behind Anthony Davis and Jrue Holiday and reeled off wins in 11 of the next 15 games with wins over the likes of the Clippers, Cavs, Warriors, Rockets, Thunder, Bulls and Spurs (x2).
We're currently holding down the 5th seed in an ultra competitive Western Conference. That sounds like good news, but considering only one game separates the 5th and 9th seeds, the things obviously aren't as bright as they seem. There's still a lot of work to be done, but our next step is having as good of a month in January as we did in December.
Stats through 12/31/15:

I'm 2-16 now I think with the Jazz on AS Sim
I suck on D which is what really hurts. I give up way too many easy buckets.
On offense I make a few bad passes which kills me as well. The CPU doesn't make many mistakes against me. Also I give up too many offensive boards to their bigs. It just feels like the bounces never go my way.
Anyways I'll have a top 3 pick I'm sure.
The guys I like the best in the draft:
C Karl Towns - can shoot and could be a great defender. He would probably start right away and push Favors to PF where he's better suited.
SF Stanley Johnson - stud athlete who could provide that punch off the bench for me and be a great 6th man. A 2nd unit of Exum-Hood-Johnson would be damn nice.
If I get the #1 overall pick I might try to trade it to a team who would want Mudiay/Okafor.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives

You should check out the fictional draft classes by the Sim World too! lot of good rookies there!...I'm 2-16 now I think with the Jazz on AS Sim

Im 8-8 with the Raptors, I have had plenty of injuries to deal with already, currently James Johnson is playing through an Ankle Sprain and T.Ross has a back injury which he is playing through, Just got Amir Johnson back and Lou Williams is out for another few days with a concussion!...
I think top 2 in the East will be occupied by Cleveland and Chicago, and then Washington, Miami, Atlanta and my Raptors are pretty evenly matched up!, as the East isn't as strong this year.
Last 4 games for me have been a bit up and down, lost to Cavs 104 - 107 in a great game but just couldn't contain LeBron, got over Phoenix who really lack a SG...the Dragic/Bledsoe combo is just not going to get them far...one has too go!, I beat the Hawks pretty comfortably this time as they destroyed me earlier in the season and wen't down to Dallas 94 - 101
Got the Lakers up next, and Kings, Utah, and Cavs next 3 after L.A, i'll be happy if i can win 3 out of the next 4, Demar has a big job on defence i'll have to use him too shut down Kobe, and i'll try and play my offence through Lowry and attack J.Lin with plays like Euro Flow 23 Give 15 Fist, Rip Fist Out 14 and 90' Quick 51 and really get Lin chasing Lowry around the court, I will try and use Amir Johnson inside as he might have the advantage over Boozer!Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
After defeating the Grizz and the Bucks, and losing to *sadly* 76ers and Hawks, I was 2-2 when George was injured on my 5th game vs Wizards. I was having a 18-0 run on 3rd quarter when George hit the fastbreak 3 and he landed badly, tore his Achilles and out for 6-8 weeks.
We lost that game despite leading 20 at the end of 3rd and the Wiz surged a 38-14 4th quarter.
Lost my 5th game with the Celtics on a close fight (watson didn't hit the VERY WIDE OPEN clutch 3). I'm now 2-4 with my Pacers.
What should I do now? I got Isaiah Thomas from a trade (Hill with picks). He got 29 points in his debut vs the Celtics. I'm still learning on how to play Hibbert and West is my guy now.Comment

How do you increase player attributes besides practice? Can anyone link a guide or good info? I searched here and posted on 2k sites but couldnt find what I was looking for.
Do you get any stat increase for playing in the game? If no would I be better off taking less minutes overall for good players so they have less season fatigue so they get more practice time to increase their stats?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
I know most people on here are concerned with their MyLeague and MyGM modes mainly consisting of realism, but I am not one of those people. I'm all about trades! (yeah, not the most popular opinion, I know) In my first MyLeague file, I was the Hornets, and I made some big deals, such as bringing in Chandler Parsons and dealing Al Jefferson for DeMarcus Cousins (among other moves). My starting lineup looked like this after one season:
<html><head><meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /><link href="http://dynasties.operationsports.com/css/osdyn.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css"></head><body><table cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1" class="osdyn" width="575"><tr class="masthead_alt"><td bgcolor="#1D8CAA" colspan="5"><span style="color:#1C0C65">Charlotte Hornets Depth Chart - 2014-15</span></td></tr><tr class="stathead"><td width="8%"></td><td width="23%">STARTER</td><td width="23%">2ND</td><td width="23%">3RD</td><td width="23%">4TH</td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>PG</td><td><b>Kemba Walker</b></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>SG</td><td><b>Lance Stephenson</b></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>SF</td><td><b>Chandler Parsons</b></td><td>Harrison Barnes</td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="evenrow"><td>PF</td><td><b>Nerlens Noel</b></td><td>Noah Vonleh</td><td></td><td></td></tr><tr class="oddrow"><td>C</td><td><b>DeMarcus Cousins</b></td><td></td><td></td><td></td></tr></table></body></html>
I can't remember the other spots in that depth chart, but there were many more young players ready to star on my team. After playing a bit with this team, I decided to start a second MyLeague, with lots of more trades. Actually, I turned both the "Trade Frequency" and "Blockbuster Trade Frequency" from 50 to 100, just for the hell of it. I chose the Spurs, and I was planning on being the one team in the league who didn't make trades in Season 1, but I changed my mind (image in spoiler):
Spoiler
After some RIDICULOUS blockbuster deals, I was ready for the playoffs. Here's a fun fact: With both the Hornets and the Spurs, I won the NBA Finals in both of my first two seasons. While this definitely is not very realistic, I'd say it is very fun to play after these two experiences.UNC

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
I'm having problems with the salary cap every season, maybe thats realistic not sure.. Anyways I have been simming with several teams and I can usually only dream about improving my team via free agency due to cap limitations, if im lucky I can resign all players I want to and thats it. Even with getting rid of bad contracts I still don't manage to really add any talent. Usually I end up having to fill the roster with players on minimum salary even when I just try to keep the team together as decent roleplayers demand around 5 mio bucks.
Latest example are the Trail Blazers, I managed to resign Robin Lopez and LaMarcus Aldridge but Wesley Mathews I could only keep on the team cos of the Bird rule since i was completely out of cap room. With the Pacers I didn't manage to add another star player to go along with Paul George either. With the Kings I managed to resign Rudy Gay and that was it..
Bottom line is that I can manage to keep the team as it with resigning the most important players. I'm just wondering where all the big time free agents end up..Last edited by geisterhome; 01-06-2015, 01:27 PM.Spending time with Jesus!

I played some with the Pacers and between George, Hibbert and West they really don't have the room to sign anyone else. I'm not going to pretend that I'm a cap expert or anything, but like you said with Matthews, your best bet is resigning your own players who have Bird Years since you can go over the cap.I'm having problems with the salary cap every season, maybe thats realistic not sure.. Like in real life if one of your good players doesn't look like he's going to resign then it's best to trade him for either picks (who will be on smaller contacts), someone with Bird Years (if you plan on keeping them) or expiring contracts (if you plan on trying to make a FA splash).
It also doesn't help that we don't have trade exceptions and stuff like they do in real life. Hopefully, 2k adds more real life rules like that, protected picks, not being able to trade players that you traded for until after 6 months, etc. in the future. My 2K17 Boston Celtics MyLeague

Re: NBA 2K15 Official MyLEAGUE/MyGM Thread
Went ahead and hammered out the rest of season 1 with the Jazz and finished 7-22. I actually played decent down the stretch and found my touch with some players.
Gordon Hayward was my best player and he earned All-NBA 3rd Team. He averaged 20/5/5.
Coach of the year: Pops, SA was 22-7
MVP: I know it wasn't LBJ...but I can't remember.
Rook of the year: Jabari Parker, Bucks
Most Improved: Steph Curry, GSW. What?!
Defensive POTY: Anthony Davis, Pelicans
The playoffs were a bit of a shock as the Rockets won the NBA Championship over the #8 seed Charlotte Hornets. James Harden was the MVP.
Time for the NBA Draft. Had the #3 odds in the lottery with the 76ers #1.
#1 Pick: Atlanta
#2 Pick: Jazz, yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
#3 Pick: T'Wolves I think
#4 Pick: 76ers
It was nice to see the 76ers get screwed like that and for my organization to move up a spot. I was definitely scared of dropping out of the top 3.
#1 Pick: ATL selects C Jahlil Okafor from Duke. Great pick for them. Al Horford is on his way out and Okafor was rated like a beast.
#2 Pick: UTA selects C Karl Towns from Kentucky. This was the guy I wanted to pair with Favors. I needed a guy who could be a rim protector and at 6'11 he's a bit bigger and he's athletic. Offensively he's a decent prospect and he'll be able to contribute some.
#3 Pick: PF Kristaps Porzingis (International). He's a long big who can shoot the J, typical Europan big. Will post more info on who took him
#4 Pick: PG Emmanuel Mudiay, Congo to the 76ers. Pairing him with MCW will be fun to see. The 76ers for some reason had money and signed Marc Gasol...so they have a loaded front court with Noel/Embiid/Gasol.
#10 Pick: TRADE**
Jazz send 2016 1st round pick + another pick which is a 2nd rd I believe
Knicks send #10 pick to Utah.
Jazz select: SF Stanley Johnson from Arizona. He's the athletic slashing SF we need off the bench. If I didn't get Towns I would've debated whether or not to take Johnson with my first pick. I am banking that my team improved moving forward and I don't give the Knicks a top 5 pick next year. After a 7-22 season it's going to be a challenge.
Why the Knicks did it? They went out and spent big money in free agency. This move gave them some extra cap space to get veterans. There was nobody on the board who was going to be an instant starter/star in NY.
Knicks free agent pickups: PF Greg Monroe + PG Rajon Rondo. I will check if they signed anybody else tonight, I'll post more info about all of this. This post is the brief rundown.
Pick #30 1st round: SG Jabari Bird, California. He's a 6-6 guy who can shoot it. I was offered this pick for two 2nd round picks (#3 + another). Went ahead and just took it so I didn't have to take more rookies. I don't see him doing anything for me. I might even just trade him away for a future 2nd or something.
Late 2nd round pick: PG Sam Cassell Jr. He will be the last roster spot for me.
2015 Jazz Lineup:
PG: Trey Burke | Dante Exum
SG: Alec Burks | Rodney Hood
SF: Gordon Hayward | Stanley Johnson
PF: Derrick Favors | Enes Kanter (signed his tender to 1-year $7M)
C: Karl Towns | Rudy Gobert
Bench: Trevor Booker + Jabari Bird
Karl Towns is exactly what this lineup needed. Favors can slide to the 4 and I think that's his natural fit. Kanter off the bench will get plenty of PT and I plan to go with a 9-man rotation.
My big issue: how on earth do I get Exum enough minutes? I feel like he's too good to be on the bench. A super athletic 6-6 PG who can finish at the rim and is a matchu problem on the bench? It just doesn't feel right.
I feel like I have a good mix right here with my team and the rookies give me an immediate improvement from last season's team. Having Exum/Johnson/Kanter off the bench is crazy and you throw in a deep threat with Hood. I had so much fall off with my second unit coming in last year so it should really help me stay competitive this season.
I'll post some more info tonight on how other teams fared in FA and the draft with some new lineups.SOS Madden League (PS4) | League Archives
