I'd hope they had these ideas in their minds even if I never created this thread.

Did you make these pictures? I hope not cause I have a pair of pants that's looking to get wet and this is a really good reason to wet them.

I wish. Outside of doing some aesthetic mods(jerseys, courts, etc.), some hex editing on 2k, and a bit of modeling I have nowhere near the expertise to be hired.

Don't sell yourself short. 2k always looking for passionate people that have great ideas. I'm speculating that's how they differentiate their producers from their more technical engineers.

The Next Step in Immersion For Me

Great post, lots of great ideas here. I really like the free agency and relocation ideas.

One thing I would love seeing added either along with or even in place of the relocation (if the NBA does have a problem with that) is an expansion team feature. They could use a system similar to Madden with preselected cities, team names, logos and jerseys so that everything looked more authentic. I struggle with realism when I relocate teams in other games, but an expansion team would be awesome to build literally from ground up.

There are some great cities they could have us choose from so they can add commentary along with them, like Seattle, Vancouver, San Diego, Vegas, Tampa, and many other possibilities.

The mode could start at the beginning of the current NBA season and as that season progresses you make selections like logo/mascot, team colors, jersey, and create your stadium and court. Once summer rolls around there is an expansion draft, and then afterwards you enter the offseason as any other team in MyGM/MyLeague would for coach signing, rookie draft, free agency, etc.

I think realistically this would be the best way if you want to start with a rookie on your team. If it were to start the franchise at the beginning of the current season (rather than the following season as described above), the team should just have to wait until the end of that year to be in the rookie draft so that all rookie players are on correct teams.
