Jersey selection in My Player Mode

I am in agreement with everyone else. None of us have made a game before, but I just can't see how adding jerseys for MP Mode could be so difficult. Especially so difficult where it's been, what, 5 years and it's still not in?

I hope they put this in. I wonder if they don't because the mod is called myPlayer. A player doesn't get to pick the teams Jersey for that game. But that leads me to an additional question. Is that why 2k won't give us the option to control the whole team? If anything, you should be required to player lock in key games. But why can't we have the option to control the whole team? I get tired of having to have the ball 90% of the time and put up 40 to win. I pass to open shooters and they pump fake, no shot, so no assists. This topic goes hand in hand with the why can't we switch jerseys. I guess its either A. Its myPlayer, not myTeam. or B. 2k just didn't feel like it.


We should have both the option to switch jerseys and control one player or the whole team. Plus, free agency...

You can have control of other players' shooting by pressing square or using the right stick when they have the ball, so they can take the shot.

I 100% disagree with the option to control the whole team in MyCareer Mode. That's the challenge of it and what the mode is all about MyCareer or what I still call it, My Player. You shouldn't be able to control your teammates, tell them when to shoot or sign FA's and etc. That what Association Mode or MyGM is for.

Now, I know they didn't have create a player in 2K14, but if you wanted all of this, you should create your player and then do association and do that. Then if you have the urge, you could player lock your player. I am sure create a player will be back for '15, but if it's not, you could create your guy in a draft class and draft him.

Not my area, but FYI, it isn't simple, if it was, Simballer def would alread have done it.

The comp did it on their first attempt. Myplayer/my career has been out since 2K10. This option is long overdue. I've never developed a game before but this will be year 6 of this mode. Was that not long enough to figure out how to do it ? Just a little frustrated as I as well as many others have been asking for this since 2K10. Again the comp did it on their first attempt.

I remember after 3 and a half seasons with the Lakers on my mycareer save we finally managed to wear the Sunday whites uniform, blew my mind. But it was also maybe my happiest moment playing mycareer in months. Come one debs do the right thing

I've been waiting for this as well, was just talking to my friend about this. I'd love to see our players in different retros, throwbacks, and secondary jerseys.

Two things:

1. VERY complex thing (not simple at all).
2. Dev's are aware of it's request. I've been asked about it every year - not been added for lack of trying.

Sorry for kinda hijacking the thread, but no one seems intent on answering this.

What about the shot chart bug (most of the shots not showing by the end of a full game)? It's also a very persistent bug. Is it also very hard to solve?

2. Dev's are aware of it's request. I've been asked about it every year - not been added for lack of trying.

Here's the issue. No one seems to ever want to elaborate on what is complex about it. We are a gaming community, comprised of intelligent individuals. So yes, some of the technical jargon may be lost on us. But a simple attempt at explaining why something that seems extremely easy, is somehow so difficult that it couldn't be pulled off in years of attempting, even though the assets and menu systems are already present in game, would be greatly appreciated.

Why do we need a in depth technical explanation though?

They've told us it wasn't easy, and they've explained that they are aware of the request....all we can do for right now is keep keep making them aware it's something we want...and hopefully they can eventually get it in there....

The comp still doesn't have the tech to manage rosters though, and they're in there second iteration. Every game is different...I've seen a border color change set a program back for nearly a week in my field. Just have to wait it out, at least they've acknowledged it..

However, like the removal of Rick Barry's underhand free throw animation (which I still don't understand), we should realize that it's a REALLY minor thing to get upset over.

I mean, I know this is a MyCareer thread, but look at MyLeague mode and the revamped MyGM mode. 2K gave us just about EVERYTHING we wanted.

We shouldn't get that upset over something so minor when we've been blessed with such a caring dev team. They've earned my trust--if LD2K says it's far, far harder to put this in than it seems, then I believe him.
