Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

Just reached free agency after my rookie year. I've got the list of teams up where I'm supposed to choose 3 for my agent to talk to. I'm not a fan of that, I wish the teams would just come to me and make me offers and I could peruse them at my own speed. And actually be able to SEE their freaking rosters before deciding to sign with them.

I'm a SF. 6'8 210lbs. The team with the highest interest in me is Toronto (56% interest) and I'm kinda interested in them as well, except I'm sure there's going to be a logjam at the wing with me, Derozan and Ross.

The next group of teams are Philly, Atlanta, Chicago, Memphis, Brooklyn, and Denver. I have no interest in any of those teams really. If I did pick one it would be Philly, I could go and try to build something with MCW, Nerlens and Embiid.

I'm kinda interested in the Clippers (47% interest in me) but that might feel a little bit lame teaming up with one of the best teams in the league.

A team I'd really love to join is the team that has 0% interest in me: The Hornets. I'm guessing it's because I signed my first 10-day contract with them and they chose not to bring me back. Maybe there's going to be a storyline where I basically have beef with the Hornets organization my entire career and stick it to them whenever possible?

I dunno what to do. I want to pick someone because I'm anxious to see what happens with the storyline, but I also don't want to rush it and get stuck on a bad or unfun team.

Any SF's with team recommendations out there?

I am averaging close to 18pgs, 12 rebs. and 2 bpg in my 2nd season. It really benefits me that since I get 36 minutes per game, when I sim a game I still average the same amount. Im hoping to get more badges. I only have 7 badges(1 skill) and none this year.
I am leaning forward to leaving to this team in FA. Main problem with team is that we don't have a good bench and our perimeter defense. Only thing is that some of our bench players contract expire this season.

Out of those I would probably choose Philly. You can be the number one option on offense with a nice young core. Plus they should have a good draft pick from the previous season. I am on Toronto right now and Ross is the 6th man. I'm probably going to leave in free agency as well. If the Bulls offer me something I'm going to sign with them simply because I'm a Homer.

Boogie just came to me to try to bring me to Sacramento. I'd love to play with Boogie but, Rudy Gay is there at my position.

Can you eventually join any team that you want to? I am trying to make a center for the Blazers but I failed my tryout and have no 10 day contact option.

How can I force my way onto that roster?

I chose Philly, LAC, and Washington.

Philly: 203-484 VC/game (this was the biggest offer)
                LAC: 178-441 VC/game
                Washington: 166-420 VC/game

Then there were offers from every other team except Charlotte and Cleveland. Toronto offered me the 2nd biggest contract. I STILL can't see the rosters damnit.

Only problem with Philly is it's a 2-year deal. Toronto, Chicago and Atlanta also offered me 2-year deals. I kinda want to just sign a 1 year deal.

I could re-up with Detroit for a season? I honestly feel kind of guilty leaving lol. Drummond keeps talking to me about staying. I feel like I'm betraying him and the team by leaving lol, guess 2K did a good job with the storyline to make me that invested

It doesnt cost anything for shoes you make under the 2K Brand.. It says 1000VC but when you click it to purchase it doesnt take any VC..

Didn't pay a lot of attention to this earlier, but noticing now.. during timeouts when they start talking about stats and who's leading the league in different categories.. 2K forgot to put the graphics in this year.. you'd think they'd be in because they were in 2k14.

Its crazy that no one in this entire thread has even mentioned the Heat except for me. How times change lol. I would highly recommened the Heat for anyone looking for a good team in free agency. I love this team. Despite being older and slower, D Wade is still a beast, Bosh is a p/r monster who is versatile enough to fade and create shots off screens or roll to the basket with his quickness. Deng is a good defender and the team has a lot of nice shooters. Being a PG for the Heat is great because they have a good supporting cast and yet you can clearly take over the starring role left by Lebron.

                              Something really strange just happened.

I picked Philly out of all my offers even though I didn't really want a 2 year deal. THEN I got a cutscene where Al Jefferson came to my house and asked me to come to Charlotte. This was the team I wanted all along, but I didn't get an offer from them originally. I of course said yes, I want to team up with you in Charlotte. "I'll call my agent right now" I said.

Next thing I know, I'm in Doc Rivers office calling him coach. Congratulating him for joining the team. The suspense is killing me because there are no team logos or colors anywhere. Where the EFF did I end up signing? Philly or Charlotte?

Then I go to a press conference, me and Doc taking questions from the media. Still no logos anywhere. None of the reporters, Doc, or myself say the name of the team during the press conference.

Finally, I get a scene where I'm in the locker room, wearing Sixers gear! What the hell was that scene with Al Jefferson all about? Was it supposed to happen before I picked my team, but for whatever reason the game glitched out? Did 2K just screw me out of the team I want to play for yet AGAIN? I'm just really confused about what just transpired lol.

Turned out my deal was 2 years/$11.48m

EDIT: Looking at my twitter feed, it also says Robin Lopez came to visit me to sway me to sign with Portland, but that never actually happened.

EDIT2: The Sixers had the #1 overall pick and took a BEAST power forward named Thomas Ewing. He's a 78 overall with his potential on the skill graph almost maxed out. Maybe Philly will work out for me after all. Me, MCW, Embiid, Ewing, Noel, Wroten, plus Kendall Marshall is a nice little squad.

Went to the clippers myself as a SF. I know it was kinda cheap, but they were the in the top 3 interested teams so I went for it. 2 games in I'm starting and getting 30+ minutes. Not to mention, CP3 must have some version of dimer because I make everything that comes off a pass from him.

Only downside is, they randomly attempt oops which are rarely ever successful, it's kinda funny somtimes but if it's a close game it gets annoying.
