No you can't get traded your first year. It's not that bad though, at least its February when you start, so you only have to play the last 2 and a half months. If you do good, you will be able to pick any team to play for in the offseason.

Still would be nice to have a fantasy option to get drafted to the team of your choice. Would love to have my whole career with the Bulls.

So we got knocked out of the playoffs in game 6 versus the Thunder and I've entered FA. I chose Spurs, Thunder and Pacers as my top 3 and all three accepted my offer. Pacers paying me the most obviously since they need a PG.

However, pretty much every other team is offering me a deal. I don't want to go to the Cavs because I am sure there is going to be a majority of MC players going there. So what would you guys pick?

I feel like the Spurs would have an awesome play book and who doesn't love Kawhi? However, they will probably retire Duncan soon so I won't have him and TP is getting old.

I was on the Thunder last year and they will likely trade Westbrook for me instead of moving him over to SG since trading this year makes sense. I'd love to play with Durant but like I said, I was there last year so I feel like a mix up would be nice. Currently leaning on the Pacers.

Thoughts?

Pacers IMO pretty sure you could rack up the assists with PG13.

So I chose a point guard and went onto the kings. I averaged 30/7/13/5/3 and was loving the game. Then Ben Maclemore had a bad game and only scored 2 points, but had been averaging 11 on the season. So, the "coach" decided it was a good idea to start some scrub at pg, take Ben out and move me to SG, which I HATE. Then in the playoffs, Rudy Gay only scores 12 when he is averaging 19, so he puts in Mbah a Moute (Traded).

Does anyone know how to prevent your coach from screwing up the team's lineup because a starter had a bad game?

Also, for those who have gotten into the 2nd season, when you hit free agency, does it show you the projected lineup were you to sign with the teams you can choose from? I have no interest in playing SG because I can't call plays.

Anyone else having this type of problem?

Pretty sure you can't see rosters in the FA. I haven't gotten that far, but I recall some people complaining about that (and rightfully so). Not positive, tho.


Can you change your shot base? I'm loving Bazz's jumper (Normal, DRose, Base 20), but I can only find jump shot and release timing.

Im with you on that one, last year was ridiculous, I had to jump thru hoops and follow this guide to get to the Bulls last year.

If you like really deep 2's then 2K has made a game for you. I swear every shot everyone on my team shoots they make sure to have one toe on the 3 point line. Even when the game does that auto move back for them they have a fraction of their toe on the line.

No you don't get to see the project line up for next season. So beware cause if you hit the team you don't wanna go on that's it you can't go back so pick carefully.

Wow, just had the craziest game. Game 3 of the second round vs bulls. We went to 4OT and I hit a shot with 0.2 left it win it.

I hate this so much. It makes Doug McDermott near useless because he bricks 70% of his 2s unless they're contested pull-ups. He hits half of those for whatever reason.

Has anyone noticed the coach swapping starters for a few games or even permanently? Taj started 5 straight games over Pau and now Pau's been starting the last 6 games again. There was no injury. Random.

I just played the most frustrating yet exciting game of MyCareer so far. Bulls vs. Kings. My matchup is Nik Stauskas. I start off with the first 4 points of the game. Too easy. The Kings run off 16 straight points on backdoor cuts (which are damn near impossible to guard), Demarcus Cousins post fadeaways, putbacks, and free throws. Pau & Joakim are getting dominated down low and Derrick Rose starts the game 1 for 7. 3 minutes left in the quarter and Kings up 10. Everybody is subbed out but me. We play decent enough defensively and get a few buckets in the paint. The quarter ends 27-18 Kings. I have 8 points. 4/5 shooting.

2nd quarter the bench gets going. We open the quarter with 2 layups in 40 seconds. I'm 5/6, 10 points with 11:21 left in the second. Jimmy is on fire with 8 in the quarter, Taj is actually defending backdoor cuts and getting steals, but we still can't stop penetration and pull up jumpers. I can't hit a shot though. 0 for 3 from the 3 point line on wide open jumpers. The whole team is missing free throws. The lead is cut to 4 when the bench is taken out around the 6 minute mark. Starters come back in play ok. Still can't defend without fouling. I finish the quarter 1 for 6 when I come out. We're down 6 at the half.

3rd quarter is more of the same. The starters can't defend in the paint without fouling. The bench comes in and kills it to end the quarter on a good note. You'd think the coach would notice this trend and play them a little longer this game. I score 9 in the quarter. We're still down 10 when the 4th quarter starts.

The bench and I get the lead down to 6 when the starters come back in around the 8 minute mark. More of the same. We can't defend the paint without fouling. Demarcus and Rudy have dominated the half so far. I have 33 at this point. We're down 12 at the 4 minute mark when something amazing happens. The starters remember they're actual NBA players (except Pau. He sucked this entire game.) We close the gap to 2 and I miss the easiest baseline jumper. I'm trying to run back on defense and I get tripped up by Mike Malone and caught in the stands so I'm still backcourt. Joakim gets a steal and IMMEDIATELY fires it down the court to me for an easy dunk. Tie game. We get a stop and I get doubled again. Kick it to an open Derrick for 3 and it's all net.

I end the game with 37/13/11/3/2 on 16-29 FG & 2-7 3FG in 44 minutes. Boogie ends with 25/15/3. My starters all have double digit negative plus-minus scores. The bench all double digit positive. Jimmy Butler (rated 81) got the most minutes off the bench with 18. Taj somehow plays less than Mirotic and gets stuck at C when he comes off the bench. Jo plays 35 minutes and only gets 5 boards. Pau 29 minutes (1-9 FG, 9 boards). Every single starter played terribly defensively.

Why can't the bench get more minutes? The minutes rotation is never followed and it's usually to the detriment of the team. The substitution logic is severely lacking. The rotations are far too rigid. I still won though, but damn. I would've settled for the minutes being somewhat accurate according to the rotation in "My Minutes". How long is it gonna be before we see some non-starting players in the game in crunch time? It's bad enough that Jimmy's coming off the bench for McDermott and me, but he can barely even get in the game.

So there's really no press conference for making the allstar team? Or was it just my save file?

I swear i haven't had a press conference my whole second season, and i still have no shoe deal in February now.

You sure you didn't sim because when you sim you cut out a lot of the important cut scenes and you have to be playing at a certain level to get all those things I'm in my second year in nov and the deal will be coming up shortly for me I havent simmed or anything played straight thru so maybe that's why.
