I know you made the playoffs or played in the playoffs in your rookie season right? & I got the Gatorade deal 2 games after I asked pharrell for help and it was the last game after I beat Lebron to get to the finals I went to Twitter "social media" and the commercial & billboard ad was there. So that's a lil weird of you saying you didn't get Gatorade yet or the deal

Oh yeah, I somehow managed to drag the Timberwolves to the 8th spot, and when I say dragged I mean dragged because when won it by only one game. We off course lost it in the first round but we got there.

So far, I haven't even met Pharrell a second time, hell I haven't even had the cutscenes where my agent asks me to get the followers. It's really pissing me off because I know this is the one thing keeping me from the shoe deal.

My team chemistry is 100%, yet on HoF/Sim my teammates can't hit jump shots for ****. I'm using the Knicks, JR can't hit the broad side of a horses ***. I can't hit any jumpshots as a perfect release is seemingly impossible IN GAME. I have to score an unrealistic amount of points just to keep us in the game (Melo is injured).

Seriously, wtf do I do? Spamming pick and rolls just to get to the rim the whole game is not fun.

Oh, and the opposing team all become Kobe, hitting every contested fadeway/jump shot. It's ridiculous

I've reached an entirely new level of pissed off with this game. It's like 2k didn't even take the time to consider how different situations should affect how the game works. Perfect example of this is a double OT game against the Spurs, we lose 115-114 and I of course have to take more shots than usual because hey, it's a extra 10 mins added on to the game. I end it with 33 field goals taken, while still shooting 55 percent. I figure that since it's a DOUBLE OT GAME and I haven't even come close to 30 field goals before this( I never go over 25) I should not have to worry about volume shooter.

I get volume shooter.

It's total bull**** how double standard this game is. How come one game over 30 field goals gets you this ****ty badge, yet getting hot and staying hot for one game doesn't get Microwave? Or one game where you come out of a timeout still hot get you heat retention? It's like this game completely fails at the most simplest and obvious things while trying to boast all these unnecessary features that you just AGHHH IM ****ING PISSED.

At least I meet Pharrel, seemingly for the first time I might add.

Rant ****ing over. I might get banned for the excessive use of language but I've honestly lost all ****s right now. I haven't been this pissed of at a game since I was 8.

I've had to readjust my entire game to make sure I don't get this badge. I time it to 20 shots in 4 quarters so that way if it goes to OT, I have a couple of extra shots I can take left.

The most I take in game if I absolutely HAVE to is 22. I feel you though, I don't have microwave either and I've gone on long stretches in games of just being on fire and hitting 3 after 3. Same with the simming in game leading to not being able to get certain aspects. I'm gutted I didn't get the big three cut scene and even though the first game with the team I mentioned was a blow out, I wanted something ne w.

Ok, I've cooled off now lmao.

The thing is, I didn't think I would get the badge because of that one game. As I stated in that hate induced rant, I figured that it would take consistent games of going over 30 field goals to get it like all the other badges where you have to do it consistently. I mean, isn't that the point of this new badge system, to reward you with things you do over a period of time?

Now I've got to get microwave in order to cancel this one out. Already maxed it out at gold and since I'm a smarter player than I was on my old career, hopefully I can find a way to make this work.

I've had to readjust my entire game to make sure I don't get this badge. I time it to 20 shots in 4 quarters so that way if it goes to OT, I have a couple of extra shots I can take left.

Exactly, before this game the highest amount of field goals I had taken in a game was 25 in another overtime game that was like my 5th game for this team. Now were 21 games away from the playoffs so you know it's been awhile since that even lmao.

In a way, this was kinda of a bitter sweet thing to happen, since now my expectations and values of this game has dropped, and I'm really just playing it to be playing it. Having a lot more fun that way, at least two games out of that situation.

I'm not sure if shot fatigue and Volume Shooter are linked... but my theory is that since shot fatigue doesn't affect inside shots (dunks/layups/etc), then it should be possible to avoid Volume Shooter by only taking inside shots as much as possible and only going mid/outside when forced to. I vaguely recall picking up Volume Shooter in a game where I had 33 FG attempts (had 32 previously and didn't get Volume Shooter) - my guess is that it triggers based on ~30 mid/outside shots since 3-5 inside shots is realistic for my short 6'1" PG.

Couldn't be buggered starting a new MyCareer at this point to test it out though...

Why are people trying to avoid volume shooter? It's been good for me. Not noticed any ill effects at all and I'm shooting great percentages. Sometimes I'm taking 10 shots a game. Sometimes I take 25. Depends, but there's no ill effects.

What am I missing?

What's up guys, new around here, kept an eye on things for a while, just had a little problem on My Career the last few days and I'm not sure what's happened.

I've just started my fourth season, now with the Rockets, I'm a 94OVR 6"8 SF with maxed out jump shooter and naturally that made my mid-range and 3PT game absolute money. But having just traded to the Rockets my jumper has just completely gone. I've gone from game of maybe 15-22 with 3-5 from 3PT to going 9-20 and 1-4 from 3PT. My averages are way down on last season. I haven't changed anything with my jumper and I know the timing but I've gone from easy Excellent releases to maybe managing one a game. I'm missing wide open jumpers too. I dunno if there was some kinda update or if I've just gone hella bad haha.

Playing on HOF Simulation too. Anybody else just randomly get problems with their jumper? I tried to change my game to more of a slashing style to counteract it but layups and dunks are stupidly hard on this game.

You're playing on simulation sliders and wondering why you're not able to shoot unrealistically every game?

The intention of simulation is to keep shooting percentages at a realistic level. 9-20 is quite realistic (45% shooting). Are you expecting to have a perfect game every game? Shoot 60% for the season or something? If you are upset because you had a 9-20 shooting game for ONE GAME (which is probably an average game for most nba shooters) then that is crazy.

At least play on default sliders if you really want to shoot cheesily. But don't wonder why the computer is forcing you to have a realistic shooting game when that's exactly what you asked it to do.

Had a great thing happen too me in my 2 way SG with the Bulls in his 2nd season. I signed with the Bulls during the off-season to a 3yr deal for idk how much I think around 13mil though. I was hoping to come here since this is my hometown team and wit me Rose Butler Noah and Pau have a killer squad. But became seriously frustrated when I find out Thibs wouldn't be my HC and that they put Butler on the bench and let McDermott start even though he is only a 77ovr SF and Butler is a 80ovr SG/SF.This had irritated me so much to the point I just started simming games playing some here and now we are currently 10-4 on a 7 game win streak which I simulated almost all those 7 games. I decide to play a game and to my surprise guess who is starting at SF JIMMY BUTLER yay yay yay my eyes lit up like a little girl I immediately simulated the game just too check and see if he was starting because McDermott was injured or if HC Rivers had finally seen the errors in his ways by putting him on the bench. ANd guess what Rivers made a correction now we have a the starters I wanted and I couldn't be happier it has breathed new life into the game now I wont be simming anymore. Im so excited
