Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
For all you guys playing, are alt uniforms in this mode now as we were told? if so, are they selectable, or done randomly by the CPU?Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
...or was alternate uniforms being in just a big fat lie?Comment

They will wear the alternate jerseys for set events (like for Christmas or whatever), but no, you can't choose them yourself.Comment

...well guess it's better than nothing. I'm curious but do you have anyway of seeing which uniform your team is going to wear before you begin the upcoming game?

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
So while I wait for the cable company to shut down the internet for maintenance and 15 minutes of lag on got next.. I get a game finally! Holy cow the controls lag but won a game once I caught up to how slow it responded
I read a review on PARK while I was waiting for a game on 'got next' lag.. and they swear that the 15 point games instead of 21 will speed up the time you have to sit on 'got next' .. someone forgot to tell the reviewers that you have to stand around on 'got next' for 10-15 minutes after one game ends to get another one.. sure is buggy too.. in the game I played some big dude it yellow kept jaywalking across our 2x2 courtLast edited by DHMN69; 10-09-2014, 02:27 AM.View Through My Lens sports photography

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
I have to say I'm not really thrilled with the attribute caps this year. I like the fact that there are caps, but they have weird **** coupled together. To have ALL of the shots together is weird because maybe someone out there doesn't want a center that can shoot 3s. Sure it's a nice bonus, but a competent jump shooter != good 3pt shooter. Then it's weird that post stuff is coupled with driving layups. So basically anyone who gets their guy to be a good non-dunk finisher will also be a legend in the post? Perhaps I'd like to make a choice of whether I'm a good offensive rebounder or defensive rebounder.
The problem with being an SF is that we need a little bit of everything. Any other position can heavily sacrifice one category because it doesn't necessarily fit the playstyle. I planned out all of my caps and while I don't mind making sacrifices I'm going to be gimped in some areas I wouldn't have to if I were allowed to make my own choices.
Turn on coaching plays in the options.
Jump shooter - 91 (level 18)
Athlete- 91 (level 18)
Defender- 91 (level 18)
Playmaker- 83 (level 16)
Insider scorer (level 2)
Rebounder (level 2)
basically i'll have solid shooting, solid defense, solid driving dunks, solid speed and quickness, solid defense and great ball control/passing
my major weakness will be post moves and rebounding. i can live with that i'd like to have better rebounding but im a good box out guy so im sure ill get a decent amount of rebounds anyway.
not sure of your style of play so maybe that helped or not lol.
if you play alot of park mode i think that would be a good way to upgrade because what do you basically do in the park anyway shoot, defend, drive to the basket try to dunk on people and pass right? your only really losing rebounding. (not that its hard to rebound in this game anyway) im averaging 7 rebs in mycareer and my rebounder attribute is only on level 2Last edited by nyk_fatboy; 10-09-2014, 03:00 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
shooting, athlete, playmaker, and defender are the categories that offer the most of what i really need.
id love to have some post moves and rebounding and all that other stuff as well but hey what can ya do your limited this year.
*Edit why is driving layup even in the inside scorer section i can understand the standing layup but driving layup? if your a point guard who plays an attacking playing style you should not have to waste upgrades on inside scorer just for the driving layup.Last edited by nyk_fatboy; 10-09-2014, 04:53 AM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Need some minor help...
So last year I was able to change defensive sets as SF and now I can't? Or maybe I am pressing the wrong button..I thought it was either Right or Left on the d-pad that brings something totally different..I wasn't even a starter last year (NBA2K14) and was able to do it.
My teams defense is garbage,I need to have full court press and half court trap when there is 5 seconds left on the shot clock. I need to stop the damn shot clock cheese...Happens way too often and my AI teammates do nothing to stop it.Comment

After team up community, (ipodkingcarter, TBG...)the devs, LD2K told us that they would be selectable. S*** is disgusting.Last edited by nddot; 10-09-2014, 04:58 AM."I just wanna be heaaaaaaaaard"Comment

That's my point. In order to be good at laying the ball up guys are going to end up being legendary in the post. It's silly.Comment

Re:attribute buckets
I think the idea here is that the badges will separate specialists. I can't say if that's the right move or not, but there are some obvious issues like having strength and speed and vertical all in the same bucket. There are plenty of players that have two out of those three very high, but one very low.
I like the buckets, but they are arranged poorly in this first iteration.
We won in my first start. Serious rookie battle with Embiid and technical rookie Nerlens Noel. Ended a 9-game losing streak with 16pts, 19rebs, 3Stls, 2Blks, 1TO and 7-12 shooting. OVR 73Comment
