NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

6'7" 195lb 2-way Superstar on the NYK in my 6th season.

Contemplating on tanking, and just hope we didn't trade away our 1st round pick in this draft. I'm still going to keep chipping away at Stockton's all-time records, and get Al Jefferson to maybe start in the all-star game. We are coming off of a 3-peat, so we could afford to miss the playoffs, and plus the playoffs slow down my all-time assists and steals stats.

My first two game with the Wizards, and I don't understand how a playoff team turns into a 18-28 team when I first get on the team.

        2016-2017 Season:

        Jimmy Butler: 31 G, 25.2 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 7.5 APG, 3.2 SPG, .473 FG%, .384 3P%, .842 FT%

        Dante Exum: 29 G, 20.3 PPG, 5.8 RPG, 7.6 APG, 2.6 SPG, .451 FG%, .418 3P%, .662 FT%

Hard to definitively say neither of those players are "THAT" good since they're young in real life and could get close to that level but I'd be stunned if Jimmy Butler ever has a season where he comes close to averaging 25-9-8-3, and given how underwhelmingly bad Exum was this year as a rookie, I'd be pretty shocked if he's averaging 20-6-8-3 in his 4th season.

Oh, and I love seeing what ridiculous combination totals the Cavs Big 3 put up every year. This year LeBron (25-8-5), Love (23-12-4), and Kyrie (23-5-9) are combining to average 71.8 PPG, 24.7 RPG, and 18.2 APG. Then there's their 2016 #1 overall pick Toni Popovic who's averaging 15.4 PPG, 9.6 RPG, and 1.6 APG as the fourth option. Throw him into the mix, and the Cavs have four players averaging 87.2 PPG, 34.3 RPG, and 19.8 APG.
        Tell me about it.

The inflated stats are really annoying.

        I'm 50 games into year 4.

Curry is averaging 33, 10, and 9 on 55% shooting.

Harden won 2 MVP's with similar stats.

Prime MJ and prime LeBron never averaged these stats.

For some reason, and it's been bugging me for a while now, there's an issue I notice with rebounding. It only affects me on positions bigger than PG; it's not due to size either, because I've tested it on a 6'5 and 6'7 PG. I've noticed that when I get a rebound and run on the fastbreak, my player dribbles differently and becomes very slow. However, when if I stop using turbo and use it again, he's back to dribbling normal and up to normal speed. I just finished my first game as a 6'5 SG for the Hornets, and that rebounding issue did not affect me that game. I upgraded my athlete and now,in the second game, the issue has returned. If I haven't made it clear, I did not slow down after rebounds playing as a PG. Help?

Yep. I have that problem on anyone other than my PG as well.

I have a 6'8" 225lb SF, a 6'6" 214lb SG, 6'11" 239lb C and a 6'7 200lb PG. Everyone but the PG has maxed athleticism(10) and all have one man fastbreak and it the only one not affected on the break is my PG.

Even though I'm holding the turbo button and I can see my turbo draining I'm not running any faster. I have to release and press the turbo button again to actually sprint but by the time my guy actually starts sprinting and with that hesitation when you go from jog to sprint the defenders have caught up most times.

After playing another game as my SG, I've discovered that if I take just one step before using turbo, I'll run at full speed. This has only worked on my SG, however, not on my SF.

I can't be the only one that has noticed how often the CPU is able to come down and hit contested 3s or get and-1 opportunities after your team makes a 3. Hairston drains a 3 and then Iggy comes down and hits a double teamed 3. Hairston hits another 3 and Iggy comes down and runs through Millsap, Jefferson, gets fouled by Hairston and hits a the shot and gets the an and-1(misses the FT).

Game 1 of the 2021 Western Conference Finals got off to a good start. Durant scored 75 points on 32-51 shooting and I managed 67 on 24-41 shooting. One of the craziest games I've ever played and considering how my battles with KD usually go I wouldn't be surprised if we both finish this series averaging 55+ points.

Jesus Christ. Who is guarding him? He's never even attempted that many shots against me. I struggle with Durant and I consider him one of the best video game players I've seen in MC. But 75 points is ridiculous.

Haha I was guarding him. I was too relaxed on D and allowed him semi-open shots which is suicide with him, some of the shots he makes are insane. Thinking about it, I remember him being 18-34 at one point in the 3rd quarter which means he missed three of his last 17 shots. Crazy.

welp im in game 3 of the nba finals against cleveland on the lakers. we had a chance to win the game, but when cleveland double teamed me they left dwight howard wide open under the basket. But guess what happens, dwight doesnt shoot it until the defense gets there to contest. Im not kidding dwight stood under the basket wide open for 2secs and WOULD NOT SHOOT. the blocked it, and then they score on the other end, then next possession i get the weakest double team possible and my guy throws it away so horribly, that it goes in the backcourt(it was an obvious animation that triggered for me to throw it away). I get tired of these late game non sensical mistakes that my teammates make on the regular. I know 2k does it on purpose because the things they do when the game is on the line just doesnt even make sense, any other point in the game and dwight wouldve layed the ball in, but late in the game where his shot could win us our 2nd straight nba finals game, nope he ignores it. my teammates are all usually very willing to shoot, but late in games(especially in the playoffs) is when they get timid and turn the ball over on the dumbest pass possible or wait for the defense to contest before they shoot a shot. I dont want to blame 2k for programming your teammates this way, but it has been apparent for a few 2k versions now that the game nerfs your teammates even worse than they already do late in games, unless the game has predetermined that it wants you to win or doesnt care if you win. Just sitting here thinking about that sequence makes me laugh at how much of a joke that situation was. That was probably the widest open hes been all game, and at a critical point when he should shoot, he doesnt. if 2k were to admit that they dont nerf your teammates in some way late in games, then there lying cuz ive seen it for myself smh

6 years in with my pg and I had to retire him. 3 rings, 2 mvps but their is no competiton left. me, ad and some 2k created sg on the bucks are the only players rated 90+. starting lineup was me, harden, wiggins, noel, and embiid. We were unbeatable. After I retired my pg gave a hall of fame speech about why he should be considered the greatest. Started a new career with injuries off.

For some odd reason my guys has been able to hit 30 footers easier that 26 footers this season. I know 'Limitless Range' helps, but I've had it for 3 seasons now and this is the first time that I'm better off taking contested 30 foot 3s than open 26 foot 3s.
