Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Just bad you can tell they're just reading verbatim. If they want it believable they need to give em a script then let them say as if they were in the locker room or on a flight.
Sure they arent actors but they need to find a better compromiseHand Down,Man DownComment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
They couldn't say what would actually be said in real-life. Behind-the-scenes has to be sanitized in order to keep the NBA happy as a league. With that being said: maybe in the future 2k could take direction from the actual players on how to make it better overall.Comment

Kind of glad we don't get drafted this year I can finally play with the Bulls as SG. It's my favorite team but hopefully they don't always defer to me and I can play within the team. I'm excited for this game.Comment

I'm only getting a PS4 camera (from a friend) a couple of days after I get the game... just curious if starting a career and then scanning later when I get the camera is possible. Anyone who happens to get the game at launch (or already has it) - Can you try starting a career with a "generated" (or manually edited) face, and then see if there's still an option later on to scan your face?
Else I'm going to have to poke around with other modes for a couple of days first (and pick up some VC)...Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
While I appreciated that they are trying something new with the story, I for one am really disappointed that your player goes undrafted. The NBA draft is one of the most exciting (off court) things about the sport, and to lose that feels like I'll be missing out on a really cool experience. Also, as a Lakers fan I was looking forward to finally having a chance to get drafted by them. They've only had something like 4 first round picks in the last 10 years, and only 2 in the top 10.Comment

Awesome... looks like I can get kicking with MyCareer as soon as I grab the game... which is unfortunately going to be on the 8th because of an unfortunately placed public holiday in my country (causing delays in delivery). I might still try to grind up a little quick VC before starting though... what's this years version of the 2k14 MyGM quick sim?Comment

or
having to manipulate the game in such a way as to force the game to trade you to the team that they wanted to go to
that they just said "eff it, we'll make them go undrafted. that way they can go where they want."
as others have said before, they should try to find a way to give people a chance to get drafted in the 1st or 2nd rounds, or go undrafted and earn your way onto a team. I think that's the happy medium.
Still not sure why they don't just make a separate game called 'My NBA Career 2k" or something and just make the mycareer mode as a standalone game. That way they can dedicate all the resources to making this mode as deep an rpg as they want and satisfy all the different wants that their customers are asking for.
Plus, I'm pretty sure it would probably boost their revenue to have 2 separate games. But maybe I'm wrong on that part, I don't work in the game industry. I'm a writerLast edited by oouie433; 10-06-2014, 01:07 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Does anyone know how this will work with MyPark? In the past, I could do a MyCareer at every position if I wanted, but MyPark is supposed to basically bring your player over to that mode, right? So if I have a PG and a C, which gets brought over to MyPark?NFL: Bills
NBA: Bucks
MLB: Cubs
NCAA: Syracuse

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread
Your player going undrafted leads me to believe it's going to be pretty scripted again this year. Just how much is the question.
I'll probably start off with a 6'4" PG like last year, and then create some wing players who still dominate the ball. I just don't have any interest in making a post player.
I'd love to do the facescan thing but it ain't worth the price of a game. Maybe I'll use it once and return it, haha.Comment
