It's the same reason they don't have the pre-game show in MyCareer or a half time show etc.

You're the player. You don't get to pick what jerseys your team wears, you don't get to watch the pre-game and half time show (you're talking to your coach in the locker room instead).

That's the justification for it anyway... even if I don't personally agree with it.

I think the coolest thing I've seen so far is the pregame shoot around that was a nice touch.

Delete this post bro, you'll get banned, the mods are cracking down hard. I saw it in the rules thread.

          Jump shooter - 91 (level 18)
          Athlete- 91 (level 18)
          Defender- 91 (level 18)

          Insider scorer (level 2)
          Rebounder (level 2)

basically i'll have solid shooting, solid defense, solid driving dunks, solid speed and quickness, solid defense and great ball control/passing

my major weakness will be post moves and rebounding. i can live with that i'd like to have better rebounding but im a good box out guy so im sure ill get a decent amount of rebounds anyway.

not sure of your style of play so maybe that helped or not lol.

if you play alot of park mode i think that would be a good way to upgrade because what do you basically do in the park anyway shoot, defend, drive to the basket try to dunk on people and pass right? your only really losing rebounding. (not that its hard to rebound in this game anyway) im averaging 7 rebs in mycareer and my rebounder attribute is only on level 2
There are actually 100 upgrade points total, so you still have 26 more to allocate. You can max out the L16-18s and increase inside scoring to 16 if you wanted to. Not sure what needs to be done to unlock all the extra points, though, but I assume it just unlocks through playing.

10 day contract is 10 consecutive days or 3 games (defaulting to the the one that happens latest). So if your team only has 2 games (for some strange reason) during the first 10 days your contract is still valid until the 3rd game happens. If you're team has 7-8 games in 10 days (i.e back-to-back purgatory), you get to play all those games within that time frame.

On another note, the sliders in MC are definitely off. Gonna convert save to offline and see if I can change them and freeze them in for offline my career. Superstar sim probably balances well when you can control each player on the team because there seems to be a higher chance of cpu missing when you actively guard them. In MC, you can't guard everybody so the only solution would be tweaking the sliders to lower cpu sot chance a hair (especially midrange). I'm probably going to lower user mid range as well.

What difficulty would everyone recommend for career mode? I always hated HoF, maybe I suck... or maybe the CPU was cheesing? But HoF always felt very different to me than say All Star or Superstar.

              Any suggestions?

I believe it's because it's waiting for you to set a screen or to get into a certain position. 90% of the time my PG is standing there dribbling, I set a screen, he will perform and pick 'n roll.

Superstar/Sim has been ok. Still some cpu boost cheese there. HOF/Sim is a million times worse for cpu cheese. Forces unrealistic play scoring 35+ points a night just to have a chance cause every cpu shot is an automatic make. Not to mention 2k nerfs your on teams abilities on those difficulties.

I think All-Star/Sim may be decently balanced as well w/ pretty much no cheese from CPU or gutting of your teams attributes. But can feel easy sometimes.

I've just finished my 1st season as a PG of the Orlando Magic. Played 35 games:

                    27.0 mpg, 8.7 ppg, 2,6 rpg, 6,6 apg, 0,8 spg, .447 FG, .294 3PT, .770 FT.

I decided to sign with the Rockets for my 2nd season. I knew about Doc Rivers becoming your coach so I wanted to go to a "big" franchise to make it more realistic (I don't see Rivers coming to Orlando to coach a time that won 16 games last season...).

Re: NBA 2K15 (Next Gen.) Official MyCAREER Thread

so, are there videos on how to run offenses yet? i made a PG and i'm having a hard time playing on superstar/sim. do the sliders actually work on mycareer?

i changed the game speed to 40 because it felt too herky jerky. i ended up buying a vc pack because i wanted to see what the changes would be like and i'm not sure how i feel about it. basically it didn't improve me much to spend 75k vc. i'm sure that almost all of it is due to me playing poorly, but my guy is STILL slow as hell and feels like he's stuck in molasses. my guy is rated an 81 now and shooting is a hair easier (no complaints though, i like that it's timing based vs stat).

i started up a new myleague just to play around and playing as shane larkin was a night and day difference to my pg. he was so much quicker and could actually dribble properly. not sure wth is going on with my guy. i can deal with being a poor shooter etc right away, but not being super slow all the time.

another thing that is stupid, imo, is that we can't quit a game without saving. i get it, they don't want people to farm vc wins. it's just ridiculously impossible to get taken out of games even. i left my controller on the couch to finish out the 4th quarter and it's been going for 10 mins where i keep getting the violation for not bringing the ball up the court, yet my coach leaves me in? stupid.

i have plays set to auto because it didn't seem like i was actually able to run plays properly otherwise (im sure it's my fault).

tl;dr - does anyone have any links to videos of running an offense in mycareer? has anyone improved their guy to be actually quick?

edit: changing the speed to 55 helped. it's still a bit jerky, but now at least i feel like my guy can move. it's always been a problem with 2k created guys in mycareer. sometimes you just get 'the slow guy', i feel.

I dunno about everyone else here... but I'm kind of losing the feel for 2k15 and I'm a little thankful I didn't buy it (had the good fortune of house sitting for a friend who preordered on the condition I didn't ninjaspend his preorder VC). 2k15 seems better and worse at the same time... not sure how else to describe it. I feel like I'll probably grind out the game until the point where the storyline ends (which means lots of simming) and then start digging through my friends stack of older games.

                        - AI is still bad. Better than last year, but still completely braindead in other ways. Earlier Kemba Walker used a screen set by me and found himself open in the paint with his man behind him... instead of going for a layup, he stepped all the way back to the 3 point line to let his man back in front of him.
                        - I'm not particularly fond of the bucket upgrade system like some others here. The way I like to play is more suited to the 2k14 system so I'm probably biased - I'm either right under the bucket or way outside. I left my mid range at the starting value in 2k14 until I was swimming in VC - this is out of the question now.
+ I haven't missed an "A+ Excellent Release" open 3 which was strangely common in 2k14. That said, I haven't really got enough of these to make an accurate comparison.
+ My PF doesn't throw passes that stay in the air for 5 seconds anymore. In 2k14, passing seemed to be out of the question if you weren't a PG (I only tried SF/PF and both seemed to only know how to throw the slowest possible overhead passes).

Can't think of anything else right now... but seeing as so far 2k15 hasn't managed to make me ragequit like 2k14, I'd say they've improved... not enough for me to buy 2k15 for myself yet though... but I'll keep an eye on the upcoming patches.

Help, I'm currently playing NBA 2k15 on Xbox one. I can't seem to find the option to go into my park on one of my superstars in "MyCAREER". When I go to manage files it says "MyCAREER FILE 1 - NOT Connected" I've done some serious grinding to get his stats up and I don't have the option to go to my park until it's connected, how do I get my career file connected without starting a new player?

For all you guys playing MyCareer I have a question. Is the AI your playing against running the freelance offense and plays as fluidly as it was being shown in Czar's videos? Seems like this would make playing against the computer much more fun than in past iterations
