So stupid they removed the halftime show. With these next gen graphics any excuse to show them off is great and personally I looked forward to getting a recap of the huge dunks etc I pulled off. Also this whole black and white highlight reel at the end has to go...keep it colour and as authentic to real life as possible. BRING BACK HALFTIME SHOW AND USE ERNIE AND SHAQ AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE WHLE DOING SO !!

FIFA 15 improved gameplay, AI, presentation and graphics this year. If EA can do it in a one year span, 2K too, especially considering the NBA is smaller than FIFA.

I didn't say they didn't improve on certain areas but why remove stuff? Don't tell me just keeping highlights is hard work considering they already had them before..

And some people just seem content on little by little updates each year and are already looking forward to a "pontential" tnt presentation for 2K16 when this game isn't even out. Is it so wrong to want the upcoming game to be the best it can't be?

Why are you even in this thread if you have nothing constructive to say? If there were no complaints you probably would have a lesser game than what we are getting for 2K15 so yeah feel free to move along.

Huh, I always felt like over the years a lot of the complainers were the ones who constantly criticized and bashed 2K about crew mode, my player, socks, shoes, headbands and other accessories, but that's just me. Its perfectly fine for people to support this topic and voice why they want halftime show returned in 2Kbasketball. I think its one of the those things were we know the game will be great and it can truly be epic across the board, but then we hear a presentation aspect that a lot of people have loved about 2K over the years gets removed, it kind of takes you back a bit. Especially since 2KBasketball is known for there highlights and presentation stuff. Wish it can be patched in for 2K15,but hopefully the devs see our passion for it to be in the game and return in in 2K16 bigger and better. I'm loving seeing all the support for this from fellow OS members about this.

As expected, a bunch of overreactions in here. I want a halftime show myself, but to disregard everything they've added to the game presentation-wise by focusing on one thing they omitted isn't weighting the issue appropriately imo. I always liked the halftime show, never found it boring as it was. But to say because the halftime show isn't there that now the game's presentation has taken some major hit is ridiculous imo. But not surprising, considering a few years ago people here voted NCAA Basketball 2010 Best Sports Game presentation that year simply because it had authentic CBS/ESPN music and screen wipes. People totally disregarded the extremely stale commentary, the lack of pre/half/post game presentation, real-time presentation of stats, etc. It basically won because of music and screen wipes.

No, I didn't want to see the halftime show minimized in any way, but to act like that one thing missing makes the game lag behind it's other sports contemporaries is silly imo. And completely disregards anything they've added this year like the motion captured cheerleader routines, team intros, pre/post game additions, etc. As well as disregards the many innovations they've done over the years like the live video city shots. Not to mention all that was added from a gameplay and feature standpoint. I get being disappointed about the halftime show not being what it should, but some perspective should be shown before flipping out or overreacting.

I'd still say based on what I've seen the game has by far the best presentation in a sports game, when taking into account all facets of presentation - not just a halftime show.

Lol, it most definitely did not take a back seat, the presentation is vastly improved from last year.

Geez, I think Kerr just became a head coach in May. Im sure they all had long recorded *some* new commentary. Do any of you complaining really grasp the [likely] level of programming complexity with 2K's commentary? They seem to almost truly blend together as a 3man team. I doubt it's a simple matter of removing one from that dynamic.

Besides that, you're totally ignoring the presentation areas they improved in because your overly focused on the few areas where you think they didn't, imo

A couple points I want to make:

1. I think 2K just didn't have the time to fully implement a Halftime show so they scratch it. It's like they don't have the time to do a NEW commentator to replace Kerr.

2. Even if they bring the same old Halftime show back...i honestly don't think it's that interesting. I prefer they have someone in the studio talking about the show while showing the highlights. It makes the show more interesting and authentic...ESPECIALLY if i am playing a season mode, i expect the show to show things like standings.

3. Can they still add this feature as an add-on? I seen games like Resogun that can add feature to the menu....

IMO, he's right. 2K12 was the worst 2K I've ever played and I've had them all.

Worse than 4, 9 and defensive next gen 2k14 without defensive settings?

Not having a halftime show really disgusts me. It was something that I didn't even worry about, after seeing the Shaq and Ernie trailer. I mean I assumed it was a given. It's like telling me Jay-Z is gonna be in the game, but then telling me that there's no Jay-Z songs. Or WWE 2k15 just omitting wrestler entrances... because "no one watches them".

There are a lot of things I don't care for in NBA 2k games, like this focus on My Player, The Crew, and all this other RPG type of stuff. I enjoy playing team basketball and controlling everyone on my roster. 2k seems to be going more in the direction of this single character experience which caters to VC. This focus is probably why we've been getting stripped of things in the actual 5 on 5 game.

I'm sure someone said the guy who does the VO's for the halftime show got into trouble or whatever, but that's just speculation. What we do know is the LD guy basically said it was cut because no one really watches it, which is not an excuse IMO. It's not like we're given this game for free as a gift from the VC Charitable Organization. We spend our hard earned $ on these games. And for someone like me who works hard to support my wife and son, spending $60 on a game is a luxury, so I think we have a right to voice our concerns.

I share the opinion of most here. Stop playing around with it and make a halftime show similar to NFL 2k5. And for the luv of god, can we get highlights from other games??? There's no excuse that something was done better on PS2 than PS4. I'm sure most people don't pay attention to the level of detail in games like The Last of Us, but it's still there because the devs care about immersion. It would be also nice to get a weekly or monthly Sportscenter type of show. That's something that would make a lot of us non My Player guys happy.

Excellent post sir! Very well said! I'm extremely disappointed with not having halftime highlights. Honestly it was the best part of the presentation to me. It gave me a reason to look forward to halftime. NBA 2K was the only sports game that gave us a legit halftime show & they remove it because some were skipping it? If that's true then that's super LAME. Between this & still having Steve Kerr as a commentator, 2K has lost some major points with me. I know some will say It's not that serious but everyone has different opinions. That's why you DON'T remove options at let people choose! It can't be a disk space issue with the power of these Next Gen consoles I would hope.

I also don't really care for the direction they're taking the game as it seems like they're catering to the YouTube crowd as opposed to the sim offline experience. The saving grace is the gameplay. I don't think anyone can argue that it's the best sports game out there but man 2K? Really?
