Does this mean there is no end of game show with highlights as well? I did button through a lot of the halftime stuff but usually watched the end of game show.

I agree with the overall sentiment of your post, but there are a lot of strange graphic design decisions that make this year's presentation a mixed bag. Some things are unquestionably better, like dancer routines and some of the amazing camera cuts I've seen. On the other hand, there is a lot of fat in some of the design, as well as a lack of overall graphic unity.

By contrast, look at how the design changed when Jay-Z took over. It wasn't just that it looked good. Much of the design really seemed to work together. There's a lot of great art in 2k, so it does stand out when a menu, meter or graphic decision conflicts with the general design. So far in 2k15, I'm seeing more of that than normal.

Side topic: Yes, 2k12 was the worst of the 360/PS3 generation. Last gen 2k14 is night and day compared to that game, and the gameplay crew deserves a lot of credit for the leap they made in two years.

Whether you like it or not is subjective. When I say "good", I mean that the design team hit their mark. They set out a theme and even the most casual observer noticed it. With anything, there are people who aren't going to like it, and that's fine. In 2k15, I can't tell what the theme is and I can point out elements that aren't working together and need more drafting.

The “Jordan Player of the Game" and Signature Highlights are in. Which was the biggest thing for me.

As I said initially, I am in full support of this thread..I would love a ESPN 2k5 type experience at half time….I watched that half time show almost every time it came on.

However, some of these posts have literally made me laugh. We have to stop with some of these overdramatic diatribes man. 2k doesn’t implement something and all the sudden its “they’re focused on casuals!” “They’re going to remove everything we like” etc etc. We can give feedback without declaring the sky is falling. Just have a little perspective on the situation. I’d bet my paycheck that Kerr isn’t commentating in 2k16. To just remove him completely when he obviously had dialogue out there would seem to hurt the commentary more than help it. Then you’d have to cut even more line’s for when they interact with one another. One more year of this won’t kill me.

I don't know man...lol. Here's hoping that 2k hears us out and adds a halftime show (worth adding back) next year.

Re: Official "Bring Back Halftime Show" Thread

To be honest, I always skipped halftime. Still, I wish they'd left it in as an option for those of you who like it.

I'm actually relieved they left Steve Kerr in. Yeah, it will be weird with him on the sidelines for some games, but the alternative would've been worse -- a rushed effort to find a replacement, or excising him. Plus, he's my favorite of the three.

I'm too glad too have the Trail Blazer defense return.

Yes, 2K12 was still the worse 2K. Never stopped playing a 2K faster.

I know born is an artist and I can see what he's saying from his stand point and I agree.

I think this year with all is additions stand out as showing they still have room to improve which is not a bad thing.

First year iterations of alot if things don't always come out perfectand this is one of them. Bruce removed Kerr coached after they recorded the commentary and shaq and ernie did some no cap presentation but I'm sure not add much as they wanted.

It's a chance what they did with modes and gameplay this year will be done with presentation in 16 with an actual full year of development and additional crew members who are apart of Os... so I'm sure they already have the mention in the bag for us.

2k4 was their worse game by far and is not even close. I won't even go into specifics but I think that one almost cost the series is life

That is disappointing that they took it out. Anyone know why they did?

Did not mean to like your post. I disagree, like I said, "imo" it's the worst 2K I've ever played.

Yeah, it's not the end of the world. These are the criticisms I'd have even if it was my own work. When design isn't cohesive, people react to it, even if they can't put their finger on why they are put off by it.

That said, whenever I talk about visuals in 2k, they are in the context of my opinion that 2k14 was by far the leader of the pack in next gen graphics in its debut. Only this year are other games catching up, but for all of 2013 and 2014, I think 2k was the best example of what you had to look forward to if you upgraded to PS4/Xbox One.

The idea that fans of this game are raging over visuals in 2k is ridiculous. Whenever I type something, keep in mind that I don't even read posts like that or grown men crying about not being able to change the color of the finger tape on their whatever.

2k is still at the top of the pack visually, and people should acknowledge that as they voice their concerns. Unbalanced feedback is hard to judge, so you're only hurting yourselves with the rivers of tears.

Not with the removal of the halftime show, no.

What was left in was largely improved, no doubt, but a major component was removed and that hurts presentation somewhat seriously.

With Kerr still in and no halftime show, but with a much improved interface and the incorporation of more TNT staff, it's kind of an awkward year for 2K in the presentation department.
