Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Was just messing around with trade finder last night found a deal that at the very least is intriguing although I doubt Sacramento would do it. It's more a "fair value" question vs realism IMO.
Sacramento Gets:
Joakim Noah
Taj Gibson
Tony Snell
Chicago Gets:
DeMarcus Cousins
Derrick Williams

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Bad trade for both, even though i think Sacramento lose more. You never trade away the most promising big man in the league and upcoming superstar for guys who are not close to that status even though they are really good players. On the other hand, Cousins don't fit into Bulls, Noah, Snell and Gibson are all excellent hardworking defenders who fits Thibs's concept. Cousins is not that realiable on defense and he's inconsistent. Bad trade overall.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Thats tough because Cousins is an amazing talent and still has tons of potential but at the end of the day, Noah's defensive presence and leadership would be more valuable to what the Bulls are trying to accomplish. Also, it may be a bit overboard getting rid of Taj. No deal imo.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
From a team like Dallas since they will be in the 20's of first round and 50's of second there is no chance the Hornets deal their first round pick in Hairston for 2 seconds. Has to be at least a first, not saying Hairston will get a lot of PT this year but they did just pick him in the first round and Dallas' first rounder will be lower in a less talented draft this year then Charlotte's was last year. 2 picks in the 50's are useless and not realistic in my opinion.Beavers|Red Sox|Buccaneers|NBA HoopsComment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Really that's why Philly has a ton of them? Late first rounders are looked at like second round picks except they have guaranteed contracts. Late first round picks do not have a lot of value. Hairston is their #3 PG and fifth in their Guard rotation. They would easily take two second rounders for him. Hairston has little value.
Never said he had a lot of value but there not tanking like Philly so asset acquiring not as big of a deal to them. Also Hairston is a SG so there's that. And this is also 2k not real life where you can draft and stash a guy which is what Philly is thinking, and no one is ever a good pick there in 2k so no it's not realistic at all, they would ask for one 1st rounder from Dallas due to it being a late 20s pick. If it were Milwaukee that'd be different but it's not so no they won't trade a first round pick cause he doesn't play yet when they clearly think he can develop seeing as how they drafted him in 1st round last year. Also Hairston has the UNC ties to MJ that trade is not realistic they're not Philly remember that.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Hairston is a combo guard really, he plays PG and SG, regardless, he's still 6th in the guard rotation. There is no way they would get a first rounder for him from anyone. It would be a low level and player and second or two seconds. Second round picks have more value than you think. Mainly because there is no financial ties to them. And you're stuck on the Philly point, that is called an example. I never once said Charlotte was like Philly, I used philly as an example of a team acquiring second rounders. Maimi did that as well with LBJ there because again no financial cap hit. With Kemba's new contract, Lance, Henderson, Brian Roberts AND Gary Neal all on the roster, Charlotte would deal Hairston for 2 second rounders.
I get what you're saying but the more likely guy would be a Roberts to go irl he doesn't do much for them, but has shown to be a decent back up point. However if they don't feel like a combo of Stephenson and Neal can run point with Kemba out then they wouldn't do it but those two are capable of handling those minutes seeing as how it's about 15-18 mpg.Comment

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread
Would Jeff Green and a first round pick for Gerald Green be a fair trade? Gerald is averaging 13.8 PPG, 4.6 RPG, and 0.5 APG versus Jeff's averages of 12.8 PPG, 4.0 RPG, and 2.1 APG. Both are averaging 27 MPG. I give them the first because Jeff has a much bigger contract and is under contract for next season. I would hopefully resign Green to be my starting SF. I think the only hang up other than the players involved, is the players not involved like James Young, Evan Turner, and Marcus Thornton, who already have a hard time getting minutes, and thats with Green splitting time between SF and PF. Young is my biggest worry because I really like him and want to develop him. He just had a huge clutch game against the Suns, scoring 13 points with 2 rebounds in 12 minutes, including a pair of huge dunks.
What do you guys think? I'm really thinking about this as Green is also my favorite player.Boston Red Sox New England Patriots Boston Celtics Boston BruinsComment
