Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

Just wanted to tell people what's going on in mygm.... Some crazy trades lol. Ok so shabazz Napier, Iman Shumpert, and Wilson chandler are on the Chicago Bulls. Monta Ellis, Carlos Boozer, and Mirotic is on The heat. Goran Dragic signed with the jazz lol. Taj Gibson is a knick. Rondo a laker. Ginobili a maverick. Gortat a nugget. Tiago Splitter a Pacer. And here's the craziest one...

    Paul George to the Warriors
    Stephen Curry to the Pacers...
They must've hit each other up on twitter to form a big three but requested a trade at the same time loool

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

I know I've been making different trade scenarios for Rondo, but what do you think about one of these?

Celtics Receive: Roy Hibbert, George Hill, Shayne Whittington, 1st Round Pick

Pacers Receive: Rajon Rondo, Kelly Olynyk, Brandon Bass OR Jeff Green

      OR

Celtics Receive: Larry Sanders, Luc Mbah A Moute, Alexey Shved, JaKarr Sampson, 1st Round Pick (MIL)

Bucks Receive: Rajon Rondo, Kelly Olynyk

76ers Receive: Brandon Bass, Gerald Wallace, Nate Wolters, 1st Round Pick (BOS)

I like the second deal, it gives me a good rebounder in Sanders, whom I've liked for a while. Then I pretty much get some fillers for my big contracts, although Shved will have a big role. Sampson would simply be released. I send a first to Philly due to the fact that they're taking on Wallace's contract, though he gives them some veteran presence next to Richardson. Even if he doesn't resign, Rondo gives Milwaukee cap flexibility.

What do you guys think? Which deal is better? I don't really care about getting stars and stuff back for Rondo, I just want to get a good player, and I think for me, that's Sanders.

I guess this would be much to give up for the Bucks for a rental, especially in their current rebuild. The first deal has something good for both teams I guess and there were rumours last year with similiar deals.

Would say you could pull the trigger on the first one.

both would never happen. First, the pacers aren't going to trade Hibbert and Hill for Rondo. And if they did Rondo certainly wouldn't want to sign there. And the second one, Rondo definitely wouldn't sign in Milwaukee and they really believe in Sanders. Also they don't want to give up a pick that will be in the lottery for their rebuild for a one year rental of rondo.

Well I believe there were rumors that the Bucks were regretting the Sanders deal, and were actually looking to deal him. They also get Olynyk, who in the right situation, can be a valuable piece. Plus, it would allow them to start Henson beside Parker.

But Rondo would never resign, so what´s left? Olynyk for Sanders and a 1st rounder? Huge downgrade, whatever they think of Sanders atm.

The best deals IMO for Rondo:
              -the Pacers one you mentioned
              - the value of the Knicks trade with shumpert and Amare, but he doesn´t fit the triangle
              - maybe something with OKC? Reggie + Perkins expiring + Adams or something like that. Russ could play next to Rondo and the Thunder could finally add another real star. But of course they have the money problem with the tax.
              - Put together a bunch of talents from Sactown, one of the teams who would be crazy enough to give something up just for a one year rental.

It is really tough to find a team for Rondo which gets his interests and has the assets to get a deal together.

Bucks last year was willing to move sanders for draft picks.

Celtics Receive: Reggie Jackson, Kendrick Perkins, Luc Mbah A Moute, JaKarr Sampson

Thunder Receive: Rajon Rondo, Kelly Olynyk

76ers Receive: Brandon Bass, Gerald Wallace, 1st Round Pick (BOS)

What about this? Rondo would obviously play the point with Westbrook at the two. This was actually suggested in an article back in July (minus the 76ers hand). I would hopefully resign Jackson, making him my sixth man or starter at the two depending on how I want to use Bradley. Perkins returns to Boston while OKC gets a promising prospect in Olynyk.

                  There were a couple more...

Its funny you say that, because I just read an article where they proposed this deal, and I actually like it, especially given the fact that it is something that could actually happen, actually not so much now given the injuries to the Thunder.

The AI in MyCareer traded Westbrook to the Suns for Isiah Thomas and Doran Dragic? Is that even reasonable?

Still they would never do that. Never. Suns see Bledsoe as a potential Dragic and Bledsoe as future superstars in the league.

Do you think the Magic would go through with this deal?

Magic Receive: Jeff Green, 1st Round Pick

                          Celtics Receive: Tobias Harris

I know they would most likely resign him in the offseason, but Green gives them a decent scorer and rebounder that is under contract for the next two seasons. Green can play both SF and PF, and would give the Magic a finisher at the rim. The 1st rounder would probably be the Clippers pick in this years draft.

I don't think there's any scenario in which the Thunder give up Jackson and Adams, they're hugely reliant on both of them and they're both really good players - only one of them would go in a Rondo deal.

As a Magic fan, I would do that for a good first (yours), but not for a late first rounder.
