However, I don't know what I could do with Kevin Martin. I'm thinking him and turiaf to the cavs for Shumpert(when the trade is finalized) and a few others. For my justification, thunder get a physical 5 that can score and rebound and get rid of Kendrick Perkins, for the Thad young trade, the Knicks get a good combo forward to backup or replace melo and/or stoudemire(whether melo's injury or stat's poor performance) and a good backup point guard in mo for a huge contract and a benchwarmer. Any better k-Mart trade ideas are welcome
I'm looking to do the same thing with the Wolves, all those young guys would be fun to build around, one trade I had in mind for K Mart was

    Timberwolves send:
    Kevin Martin

    Bulls send:
    Mike Dunleavy Jr.
    Tony Snell

I don't know how contracts work in that trade so might have to add and what not, but I believe Dunleavy is expiring, you could also add picks

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

Started up a Nets MyLeague, simming the first year. I'm about to pull the trigger on a deal that sends Deron Williams and Jerome Jordan to Houston for Trevor Ariza, Jason Terry, Kostas Popanikolaou, and the NYK second rounder for 2015.

Also thinking of sending Lopez to NO for Asik and a 2016 first.

One more that I did was send Jarrett Jack to Memphis for Beno Udrih and a 2016 second rounder.

I'll probably try to move Joe Johnson in the offseason when teams have more cap space to play with.

      Thoughts?

After what happen to my Knicks yesterday...I'm seeing things differently now. if you have a bad record and playing poorly, they will make strange trade that make no sense.

            Knicks sucks!!

                Knicks sucks!!

How doesn't it make sense? They cleared out 7 million in salary for next season by moving JR Smith. Clearly the Knicks werent going to be making a playoff push so they might as well get rid of any long term contracts and let Phil Jackson get to work with a clean slate and lots of money.

My point is sometimes you don't want to pull off a trade thinking your robbing the cpu teams. but maybe that team wants to go in a different direction...that's all I'm saying.

Okay so I have a few new trade ideas for my Celtics MyLeague.

                    Trade 1:
Boston receives: 1st round/2nd round from Cavs
                    Denver receives: Brandon Bass
                    Cleveland receives: Timofey Mozgov
(I feel Denver may be getting a little ripped off. Should they get more?)

                    Trade 2:
Boston receives: 1st round from OKC, Perry Jones, and maybe
                    Kendrick Perkins?
Thunder receives: Jeff Green, maybe 2nd rounder or a center?

                    Trade 3:
Boston receives: Tayshaun Prince and Jordan Adams
                    Or
                    1st round from Memphis
Memphis receives: Brandon Wright and Jameer Nelson
(Or maybe send them to Cleveland since they have Memphis's 2015 1st round
                    right?)

After seeing what the Celtics got for Rondo, I think that getting any 1st Rounder for Green would be a good deal. Honestly, they have no leverage. Green has a player option so you can either get rid of him while you can or risk having him on your roster and likely tanking for another year. The bright side is both him and Wallace come off the books in 2016 so Boston would be a major player in Free Agency then.

Exactly, it's not hard to figure out what the Knicks are doing. That's why I always ask what teams records are, who's injured, etc. before giving my input on some trades. I need context to determine if they're buyers or sellers.

I think Denver gets a pick in the first trade rather than Boston. I think a late first for Mozgov and maybe a second or two (one to Boston and another to Denver) would be enough. Bass really isn't worth that much unless it's to a contender, imo.

I like the second one a little more. Although, I'm not sure Boston really has a need for Jones, but at least he's cheap. Perkins' expiring contract and adding another 1st Rounder would be nice though.

I'm playing with the Pelicans, but am also controlling Boston for roster moves since they are my favorite teams and in case I get bored with the Pels.

I've actually been considering trading Green to Memphis for Price (an expiring contract) and their first round pick, but I'm going to wait a little while longer in case they move him in real life and I want to copy that.

I would had kept Shumpert. They say you can't teach height, well you can't teach drive to play defense either.

I was also thinking of doing all the vets in one trade, pek, Thaddeus, k-mart, and mo Williams for STAT, barg, and acy. It apparently works financially, so I just have to cut a player to make it work. I will try to get a pick, too, but the Knicks might be gaining enough common sense to keep those picks.

Re: NBA 2K15 Trade Discussion Thread

This will be a bit of a long post but I want to give context to the trades I'm thinking of making or my targets. Too often I think deals are discussed here in terms of the actual NBA and not what is happening "in universe" for an individual MyLeague

I'm sitting at January 22nd in my Bulls MyLeague. I'm 28-16 and 4th in the East, .5 game behind the 3rd seed. Doug McDermott is out 6-8 more weeks with a broken ankle and has been out since mid November. My rotation is currently

                                PG: Rose, Brooks, Hinrich, Moore
SG: Butler, Jamaal Franklin(FA I signed after McDermott went down)
                                SF: Dunleavy, Snell
                                PF: Gasol, Mirotic, Bairstow
                                C: Noah, Gibson, Muhammed

Hinrich is barely ever seeing the floor for me and I'd like some more depth at the SG position so I'm looking to make a deal.

Using trade finder I found this:

                                Bulls Get:
                                Ray McCallum (74 overall)
                                Derrick Williams(71 OVR)

                                Kings get:
                                Kirk Hinrich(77 ovr)
                                Jamaal Franklin(69 ovr)

The Kings are 22-20 and 3GB of the Clippers in their division. Hinrich would be an upgrade at the backup PG spot and Franklin is just some shooting filler on the bench. Both the Hinrich and Franklin deals are expiring as well.

McCallum gives me a up PG/SG more conducive to my style of play and Derrick Williams has only played in seven games all season for the Kings and has only played in one game in the last month. The Kings also foolishly signed him to a contract extension earlier in the season so I'm taking back his salary for this season as well as the two additional seasons they signed him for when they aren't even playing him.

Very tempted to pull the trigger here.

                                Other targets I have:

-Gerald Green of the Suns. Suns are 15-29 Green is playing averaging 11PPG/3.5 RPG/25.7MPG
