Is there a way to check the status on that or anything I need to do in the meantime? Any idea how long that takes?

Yes, unpacking takes a while and not leaving your system in standby may have caused some issues after downloading i.e. corrupting the entire game.

My game is a disc. Just came from GameStop so I haven't turned off my PS4 or put it in Standby.

1.Let it load up

2.Then when it does leave out and go to notifications and let it download

3.Then go back in the game and play the demo (spurs heat) til its done unpacking... no indication just keep checking

@23 my game is a disc on ps4. How do I know it's downloading/unpacking? Does it do it automatically or do I need to do it manually? I'm now playing the Spurs / Heat demo.

Not sure... I let my DL go through first. Honestly I was doing it early without having 3 million people on the server at once so it didnt take forever for me.

Im sure it'll notify you if it will stop the DL though. Once thats done you still have to play the demo until the files unpack. No way around it

I downloaded but now it's downloading again... it doesn't make any sense wtf is this game doing?

When you put the game in you get a small indicator that the game is loading.

When its done exit to the PS4 menu and check the notifications (downloads) You should see it downloading at this point.

When that's done, then you can go back into the game and start playing the demo. While playing the demo the files are unpacking and loading with no indication and it takes some time to finish so just play, relax, learn the controls and feel of the game.

Eventually you keep checking, the game will be done unpacking.

it took 1 full game to finsh unpacking then quit and it will do the intro....enjoy

I played a full game, and still no-go. I'm going to keep my PS4 on while I take a nap. Hopefully, it'll be good to go when I wake up. Thankfully, I have the next two days off of work! FYI - Retail disc copy.
