Hey, ask IGN that question, not me. I care less if they revise it or not. They are grading the game on what it is now. I saw nothing wrong with it. Maybe they should to keep the readers updated, bu they don't have to. I'm judging the game on what it is now. I'm not going to run around saying, "Man, when those servers work properly, MyPark is going to be sick." I can say that when the servers are fixed, then I'd be willing to invest my money into it. Just saying...

The bold part scares me about gamers today. Why are we buying games waiting for something to work? Not a shot at you, but I see too much of this to pacify game releases. I could never defend a product with that mentality.
Whatever you do, don't give constructive criticism or say anything negative about Madden video games! It seems to be the equivalent of a felony...

Most games that come out with online anything have server issues the first day or so, this just seemed like payback for last years debacle to me.

They waited weeks to review destiny, but kick this review out in two days...lol. Yeah, ok.
You're getting tight they didn't give this game a 9 when at the point of posting the review, there were massive server issues? Mind you, these issues are the SAME ISSUES we dealt with last generation as well.

Frankly, I think the game needs work and besides fluid animations and responsiveness (that is extremely important) some things feel rushed. MP dressing room bugged, VC bugged, numerous clothing options (that were in the last game) are gone, shot timing in HOF is bugged... The list goes on. Destiny couldn't be reviewed in one day because a majority of their content was at level cap which takes a long time to reach. All content is available to you in NBA right off the bat.

IGN has raised or decreased scores in the past after fixes so I am sure they will revisit it once those issues are fixed for people shopping around and reading reviews later on. But at the moment, the score is spot on. I have had 10 mini heart attacks thinking my MC character was corrupt. That doesn't give me the feeling the game is near perfect and deserves a near perfect score. Reviews are for people who DO NOT own the game. Not for people who do and are rooting for it. Someone who is interested in purchasing NBA2k15 should be aware that there may be issues trying to play the game the way it was meant to be played. Which is online and building your character, team and/or franchise on the 2K servers.

It's just some IGN dude's opinion. And you're not even arguing about the actual review. You're just arguing about a number at the end. A freaking number. That some guy you never even heard of pulled out of their butt.

I think you guys put way too much weight on reviews than you should.

It's cool. It's sort of a rhetorical question. I was just saying that as the score is fair, I feel it should be revised if said issues are addressed appropriately. IMO of course.

I agree with you. But the harsh reality is that many people focus more on those numbers than they should. Even stockholders do it. Review scores are used as marketing anchors. It sounds silly, but that's how it goes.

Getting tight? Nah bruh, it's not that deep, it's a discussion, nothing to be "tight" about.

If they fix some of the presentation issues, then it should be a 7.8. Otherwise it's about a 7 for me right now.

                      Re: IGN Review (7.8)

First off, it wasn't "them", it was one IGN reviewer who was an obvious online player. It pretty much only got lower points because of the server issues, not including the actual gameplay itself and upgraded game modes itself. I'm not blaming him, but the rating came solely because of that. Pretty dumb reviewer IMO.

This. Especially when it's coming from IGN.

7.8 is well deserved. It's time somebody started holding 2k accountable for their lackluster production. Yeah the presentation is nice, and there are several game modes to choose from, but there are legacy issues that still remain and make the game virtually unplayable for some. Its time to stop giving these game developers a pass and hold them accountable for their work. Gameplay and functionability should never be second to presentation. NEVER!

Weird post considering how most including the reviewer feels the opposite of what you just said at the end
