To me that was going against the % dice roll as he hit some great shots, he also was wide open on a few and he was hot. I love when a lower tier player get's hot and has that outlier type game. It makes for variety and feels sim to me. On 2K11 (the last 2K I really played and put time into) this was some thing the game handled really well. I also see guys with great ratings go ice cold.

Thanks for the feedback. Gonna give it a go

I have Real Player % turned on, but the shot meter is still on and I have to time my release. :/ Am I doing something wrong? At work, I tried the Real Player % on the last gen 2k14 and you didn't have to worry about timing the release.

Waiting for the game to install, but...

I've always used real %. No way I'm remembering hundreds of releases. And I hate meters, so I'm turning that off.

I'm playing right now with RP% and I'm still having to time my releases. It just seems like a bigger window for releasing it. Apparently, it's nothing like last gen.

Yes you are doing something wrong.
I am using real player % and there is no shot meter in sight, it is exactly the same as last gen, I would suggest you double check your settings.

I have triple checked them. I switch both FG and FT to Real Player % in the options. It still lists the Shot Meter as On. When I go into a game, the shot meter is on and when I shoot, the meter fills, like I would use it on User Timing. I have to release the shot at the right time for it to have a chance of going in. When I turn the meter off, I still have to time my release. :/

In that case I don't know what to tell you?
All I know is that I have real player % chosen and even with shot meter on in the settings I don't see the shot meter when I am attempting shots

Same here. No meter at all.

I have real% on and there is still a shot meter on when I have this setting turned on.

Really? I am so confused right now. I have no idea whats wrong with my game then. I remember in last gen, with RP% on, you could hold the shoot button down forever and they would still release at the right time, no matter how long you held the button. On nextgen 2k15 I cant do that, the player hold onto the ball all the way down and gets called for traveling. Can you hold it down the entire way?

Ah ok I've got you. I thought you said that you could see the shot meter on screen. That was what I was responding too.
No, if you hold the shot stick and don't release then yes you get called for travelling. But why would you be doing this?
You dont have to learn players releases with real player % but you should be releasing the stick at the top of their jump in order to give you the best chance of sinking the shot?

Normally I don't hold the shot down the whole time. I just know that you could do that last gen and it wouldn't matter. I guessed they changed that for next-gen. I'm on the same page now with everything. Its all good on my front.

Thank you for the help and info!

One thing you might do is double check your settings once the game starts. Sometimes don't get saved and they get switched around.

Remember, if you are playing users, you can only use user timing, you don't have an option to choose.

Control is taken out of your hands anyways even with user % shot. You can have the perfect timing and perfect open shot and still miss if the CPU wants you to miss the shot.
