Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
So I have a way idea to improve on a way to experience 2k.
2k currently has a position lock system that you can turn on in the controller settings menu. That allows you to be looked a position (like in my player) throughout a game, while the computer or other players control your team mates. I think this is a fun way to experience the game as you can chase statistics and wins as your favourite NBA player.
The problem with this is when the star who you are aiming to play as gets subbed out or moved to another position, where you can no longer control them. While for people like me going from Steph Curry to Shaun Livingston is a fun way to experience the game. Going from a shoot from anywhere shooter to a lockdown D specialist with a post game and limited range. Most NBA fans want to be and play as there studs.
So my current idea is to introduce a player lock system instead. Like MLB: The Show at the roster management screen you simply press the right trigger to show a target sign next to the player you are locked to. This means whenever this player is on the court you control him and only him. So if Steph Curry is playing the point, you run the team as him. If you (or the coach) moves him across to the shooting guard position alongside Livingston you get to let it fly as you come off screens and try to get his. The difference is when Stpeh gets subbed off. Instead of being locked to a position and you are stuck with Livingston or Barbosa. It reverts back to traditional 2k gameplay, where you control the entire 5 on the court. This allows you to play and have fun with players you wouldn't usually get to use, while gunning for it with your stars.
This is coming from a guy who loves playing 2 player Co either against the computer or other players.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
A HUGE wish- Make the lighting on the court/players better. 2k15 on the PS4/XBOX1 is so dull compared to the PC. I realize PC is more capable of certain things, but the lighting was much better on the console versions of 2K14 than they are 2k15.
If you watch games on TV, so see how bright everything really is.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
one thing that still annoys me about this game is all of the "closeup camera shots" of the players following timeouts, between quarters, and before free throws. i absolutely hate that i have to keep tapping the x button like 7 times just to get back to playing the ACTUAL GAME. when you hit the x button to "button through" the closeup shot, it just takes you to another closeup camera shot, then you hit the x button again, and it just takes you to ANOTHER closeup camera shot. why is 2k so interested in forcing us to waste our valuable time staring at closeups of players and coaches? you should only have to press the x button ONE TIME and it should instantly go back to gameplay. i shouldn't have to mash the x button 7 times to cycle through 4 different closeup camera angles. BETTER YET - we should be able to completely TURN OFF all of these closeup shots in the presentation settings. ZERO camera closeups, ONLY GAMEPLAY. i play with 6-minute quarters and I waste about 5-7 minutes a game just buttoning through closeups and in between crap that is not actual gameplay. we should be able completely turn off that crap.
i appreciate that the idea behind it is to mimic a real broadcast, and i appreciate that effort, but seeing a closeup of Chris Kaman's face does nothing for me - it adds ZERO enjoyment to the game for me…in fact it makes me enjoy the game less because i'm wasting so much of my time buttoning through it. having to sit through this stuff is one of the worst parts of watching a real game, so why force us to watch it in a video game when we don't have to? we should have the option to turn it off.
same goes for the halftime show…ONE BUTTON PRESS should take me right back the gameplay. i shouldn't have to button through 5 different halftime screens and THEN button through 4 more closeup shots of players and coaches before getting back to the actual gameplay. my freakin x button is about worn out from this stuff.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-03-2015, 09:23 AM.Comment

I would like to have the option to start an association at the current point in the real season with the correct stats and standings. I used to love this feature.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
please get rid of that random automatic walking dribble animation that kicks in when bringing the ball up the court. it will just kick in randomly as your player crosses half court. what's really annoying is that you can't break out of it. even if you let go of the left stick or try to hit the right stick to do a dribble move, your man just keeps walking forward in that animation until it completely plays out, which often forces your player forward into an area you didn't want to go and causes him to bump into the defender. and i can't figure out what even triggers this "walking dribble" animation…it seems like it just kicks in randomly without my input at all. don't know how or why it was added.
speaking of long animations you can't break out of - the "celebration animations" after a made basket are WAY TOO LONG to the point that they allow my man to beat me down the court and sometimes score because my player got stuck in some ridiculously long celebration. Damian Lillard is especially bad at this - his celebration animations are super long and you CAN'T BREAK OUT OF IT. why can't i hit turbo to start sprinting to break the celebration animation? i'm forced to just wait until his lame animation plays out before i can regain control, and sometimes by that point my man has already sprinted past me - now my team is playing 4-on-5 on defense while Lillard is still spinning around and pumping his fist like an idiot.Last edited by blues rocker; 01-05-2015, 04:04 PM.Comment

Re: NBA 2K16 Wishlist Thread
Please please please make the controls constant. What do I mean?
For example, when holding the left stick fully in a direction, I should be jogging towards that direction, every time, especially on defense. I should not be sometimes crab walking, sometimes walking, sometimes jogging, when I'm fully holding the stick in a direction. That should be left to me, to decide how much of the stick I want to use for that movement of speed. Turbo should always be full tilt sprint, unless I'm holding Intense Defense.Comment

Lord knows we don't need controls revamped again but step backs should be a lot easier than the are....hate the concept of holding back RS, especially as a broadcast player...Comment
